天守の展示から、5階の海と城下町を眺める
天守内では唐津藩に関わる資料、古唐津などの焼き物、町民文化や産業の展示を見られます。5階からは唐津湾、虹の松原や城下町を見渡す構成です。築城当初から残る天守という説明ではなく、1966年建築の文化観光施設として、資料の歴史と現在の建物を分けて見学できます。
天守500円と、登城の費用を分ける
個人の天守観覧料は一般（15歳以上）500円、小・中学生250円、未就学児無料です。20人以上の団体は一般400円・小中学生200円という別区分。登城エレベーターは片道料金が別に必要で、70歳以上と未就学児はエレベーター無料の案内です。天守の観覧料まで同じ無料条件とせず、対象を確認して券を選んでください。
222段の石段と、登城口のエレベーターを選ぶ
登城口から天守まで石段は222段あり、左側へ進むと舞鶴公園エレベーターがあります。これは丘の上へ向かう設備なので、館内の各展示階を移動する設備とは利用範囲を分けてください。車は登城口の道路向かいの駐車場へ、JR唐津駅北口からは市案内の徒歩約25分か、唐津城入口へ向かうバスを選べます。
16時40分の入館と、冬の改修予定を合わせる
通常の天守入館は16時40分までで、屋外の天守台は5時～22時という別の時間です。市議会資料では、登城エレベーターの改修を2026年12月～2027年2月に予定しています。天守の改修に伴う立入り制限は工法等で検討する段階とされるため、冬の訪問は工事の確定案内を確認してください。11月2～4日の唐津くんちは、市街地の混雑と巡行に合わせた経路も確認できます。
東唐津の滞在と、呼子の食事へつなぐ
車を置く唐津市営東城内駐車場から登城し、東唐津の唐津シーサイドホテルへ滞在をつなげられます。河太郎 呼子店は中心部と別地区で、車やバスの移動が必要です。呼子店の最終入店は平日15時30分、土日祝17時30分の案内なので、城と食事の順番を締切から組んでください。

Move from tower exhibits to fifth-floor coastal and town views
Exhibits cover the Karatsu domain, old Karatsu ceramics, townspeople and industry. The fifth floor overlooks Karatsu Bay, Niji-no-Matsubara and the town. Treat the building as a cultural and tourism tower constructed in 1966 while exploring the history presented inside.
Separate ¥500 tower admission from hillside access costs
Individual tower admission is ¥500 general, for ages 15 and older, or ¥250 for elementary/junior-high students, with preschool children free. Groups of 20 or more pay ¥400/¥200. The hillside elevator charges separately per journey; visitors aged 70 or older and preschool children use it free. Check tower admission independently from elevator exemptions.
Choose the 222 steps or the elevator near the entrance
There are 222 steps from the entrance to the tower; the Maizuru Park elevator is to the left. It provides hillside access, so check movement between exhibition floors separately. Parking is across the road. The city lists about 25 minutes on foot from JR Karatsu Station’s north exit or buses to Karatsujo Iriguchi.
Plan for 16:40 last entry and proposed winter works
Regular tower entry ends at 16:40; the outdoor upper area has separate 05:00–22:00 hours. City council material proposes hillside-elevator works from December 2026 to February 2027. Tower-access restrictions remain subject to construction planning, so check confirmed arrangements for winter. For November 2–4’s Karatsu Kunchi, account for town traffic and the procession route.
Continue to Higashi-Karatsu lodging and Yobuko dining
Use Karatsu Municipal Higashijonai Parking for the castle and consider a stay at Karatsu Seaside Hotel in Higashi-Karatsu. Kawataro Yobuko requires travel to a separate district. Its listed last seating is 15:30 weekdays or 17:30 weekends/holidays; arrange sightseeing around that deadline.
