京都駅からの移動
京都駅から嵯峨野線で一駅の梅小路京都西駅へ向かい、駅から徒歩約2分で訪ねられます。京都駅中央口から歩く場合は、西へ約20分という公式の案内です。博物館には専用駐車場がなく、公共交通での来館を案内しています。駅を出る前に移動手段を決めると、館内で過ごす時間を確保しやすくなります。

Time for exhibits and experiences
The museum’s FAQ suggests about two hours for the main building and outdoor exhibits. Add separate time for experiences and meals. Activities such as the driving simulator have their own arrangements and charges, so check how to book and when to arrive for the experience you choose.
Check the calendar and arrival time
Wednesday closures have holiday exceptions, and the museum also closes on certain other dates. Check the calendar for your visit. Last entry is 16:30, while closing is at 17:00. If you want an unhurried visit, work backwards from the time you need instead of aiming for last entry.
Getting there from Kyoto Station
Take the Sagano Line one stop from Kyoto Station to Umekoji-Kyotonishi, then walk about two minutes. The museum gives about 20 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station’s central exit as another option. It has no dedicated car park and asks visitors to use public transport. Choose your route before leaving the station.
