標高132mの勝山に上がり、石垣と門の間を歩いて天守を見学する松山城。山頂の本丸と、山麓の二之丸・堀之内は離れており、車で天守の前まで行くことはできません。天守を見る日、広場を歩く日、ロープウェイを使う日で必要な時間を分け、松山の街歩きに組み込めます。

山頂の門と石垣から、街と海の方向を見渡す
江戸時代までに建てられた天守が残る松山城は、山頂に本丸、裾に二之丸と三之丸を置く城です。進入路の曲がり方、門の位置、石垣の高さを見ながら歩くと、天守へ向かう道そのものを見学できます。天守の最上階からは松山平野や瀬戸内海を望む案内です。景色は天候にも左右されるため、登城と建物の見学を合わせて予定に入れてください。
天守の券と、入場できる時刻を選ぶ
本丸広場は無料ですが、天守の見学は大人520円、小学生160円です。通常9:00～17:00、8月は17:30まで、12・1月は16:30までで、天守への入場は各終了時刻の30分前まで。12月第3水曜は大掃除で休みます。混雑すると券売が早く終わる場合があるため、終業間際の到着を避けられます。東雲口駅舎1階から天守券売場までは約30分かかる案内です。
ロープウェイ、リフト、総合券を使い分ける
共通乗車券は往復大人520円・小学生260円、片道270円・140円。リフトは小学生以上が対象で、雨天時は運休します。ロープウェイは通常8:30～17:30、8月は18:00、12・1月は17:00まで。リフトは8:30～17:00です。山頂駅の長者ヶ平から天守まではさらに徒歩約10分かかります。
往復乗車と天守を組み合わせる総合券は大人1,040円・小学生420円。東雲口駅舎1階の券売機で8:00～14:00に販売し、天守分は払い戻せません。利用する施設を決めてから購入できます。
登城道の工事と、車を置く場所を確認する
2026年9月12日8:30～11月27日、県庁裏登城道全域は工事準備で車両通行止めです。徒歩通行は可能ですが道幅が狭くなる案内で、歩行者の全面通行止めではありません。各登城道は通常も一般車・自転車・バイクが通れません。車は松山城駐車場（喜与町駐車場）などに置き、乗り場からの移動と帰りの時刻を組んでください。
三番町の郷土料理と、道後の滞在をつなぐ
郷土料理 五志喜 本店は三番町の食事先で、昼は13:30の注文締切があります。道後温泉 ふなやは道後湯之町の宿です。城から道後へは別の移動を加え、夕食付き宿泊の到着時間と合わせて順番を選べます。天守の閉館時刻と、広場や街で過ごす時間を分けて予定にしてください。

Look beyond hilltop gates and walls toward the city and sea
Matsuyama retains an Edo-period keep, with the main enclosure on the hill and two lower enclosures at its foot. Observe bends in the approach, gate positions and wall heights on the way. The top floor looks toward the Matsuyama Plain and Seto Inland Sea, weather permitting; allow time for both the ascent and interior.
Choose keep admission and an arrival time
The enclosure is free; the keep costs ¥520 for adults or ¥160 for elementary pupils. It opens 09:00–17:00, to 17:30 in August and 16:30 in December/January, with entry ending 30 minutes earlier. It closes on December’s third Wednesday. Allow for queues and about 30 minutes from Shinonome station’s ground floor to the keep ticket booth.
Choose the ropeway, lift and combined ticket
Shared tickets cost adults/pupils ¥520/¥260 return or ¥270/¥140 one way. The lift requires elementary-school age and stops in rain. Ropeway hours are usually 08:30–17:30, to 18:00 in August and 17:00 in December/January; lift 08:30–17:00. Walk about ten minutes from Chojagahira upper station to the keep.
A return ride plus keep ticket costs adults ¥1,040 or pupils ¥420. Buy from Shinonome’s ground-floor machines 08:00–14:00; the keep portion is non-refundable. Decide which facilities to visit before purchasing.
Check ascent-path works and where to leave the car
From September 12, 2026 at 08:30 through November 27, the Prefectural Office Rear Ascent Path closes to vehicles for works preparation. Pedestrians can pass along a narrower path. General cars, bicycles and motorcycles are normally barred from ascent paths. Leave the car at Matsuyama Castle Kiyomachi Parking or another suitable facility and plan onward travel and return time.
Connect Sanbancho dining with a Dogo stay
Goshiki Main Store in Sanbancho takes lunch orders until 13:30. Funaya is in Dogo Yunomachi. Allow onward travel to Dogo and meet the inn’s dinner-plan arrival time. Plan paid keep hours separately from time in the enclosure and city.
