栗林公園｜南湖を歩く庭園散策、月別の開園時間と和船・秋の夜間鑑賞

南湖の岸と飛来峰で、庭の配置を見比べる

栗林公園は六つの池と十三の築山を配した大名庭園です。南湖の周りを歩いたあと、飛来峰から偃月橋や掬月亭の位置を見渡す回り方を提案します。池の岸で見る松や石と、高い場所から見る橋・建物を比べると、同じ庭の中で視点を変えられます。段差のある築山まで登るかは、歩きたい距離に合わせて選んでください。

月別の開園時間と、入園料を確認する

一般入園料は大人500円、小・中学生170円、未就学児無料です。通常時間は12・1月7:00～17:00、2月7:00～17:30、3月6:30～18:00、4・5・9月5:30～18:30、6～8月5:30～19:00、10月6:00～17:30、11月6:30～17:00。元日と3月16日は無料入園日の案内です。年中無休ですが、高松地域に暴風・暴風雪警報が出た場合は臨時休園します。

和船と秋の夜間鑑賞は、通常便と別条件で選ぶ

南湖の通常和船は乗降を含め約30分、大人850円、中学生以下420円で、入園料は別です。3歳未満は乗船できず、小学生以下は保護者同伴。事前予約は利用月の前月1日から前日までで、予約しても乗船30分前までに券売場で支払い・購入が必要です。

2026年秋のライトアップは11月20～29日17:00～21:00、最終入園20:30。夜間和船は小学生以上が対象で、予約開始は11月1日13:00の案内です。通常便の年齢条件を夜間便へ当てはめず、秋の詳しい案内を確認してください。

入口までの交通と、その日の通行範囲を選ぶ

公式の徒歩目安はJR栗林公園北口駅から3分、ことでん栗林公園駅から7分、栗林公園前バス停から1分です。JR栗林駅からは15分で、駅名を区別して経路を選べます。2026年9月7日のイノシシ捕獲時の告知では、園路の一部閉鎖と注意案内を継続するとしています。訪問日の現地掲示や最新案内で歩ける範囲を確かめてください。

高松駅の滞在、牟礼町のうどん、市中心部の駐車へ

JRホテルクレメント高松は高松駅・港側の宿です。うどん本陣山田家讃岐本店は牟礼町にあり、公園から別の移動が必要です。高松市立中央駐車場は市中心部の別施設で、工事による利用制限があります。公園に隣接する駐車場と区別し、交通と立ち寄る順番を選んでください。

Compare the garden from the pondside and Hiraiho

The garden combines six ponds and thirteen landscaped hills. Try a pondside walk followed by Hiraiho’s outlook toward Engetsukyo Bridge and Kikugetsu-tei. Compare close views of pines and stones with the wider arrangement. Choose whether to climb the stepped hill according to the walk you want.

Check monthly opening hours and admission

Admission is ¥500 for adults, ¥170 for elementary and junior-high pupils, free for preschool children. Hours: December/January 07:00–17:00; February 07:00–17:30; March 06:30–18:00; April/May/September 05:30–18:30; June–August 05:30–19:00; October 06:00–17:30; November 06:30–17:00. January 1 and March 16 are free-admission days. Storm or blizzard warnings for Takamatsu trigger closure.

Distinguish ordinary boat rides from autumn evening services

Ordinary South Pond rides take about 30 minutes including boarding, at ¥850 for adults or ¥420 for junior-high pupils and younger, plus garden admission. Under-threes cannot board; elementary pupils and younger need a guardian. Reserve from the first of the preceding month through the day before, then buy the ticket at least 30 minutes before departure.

Illumination runs November 20–29, 2026, 17:00–21:00, last entry 20:30. Evening boats accept elementary pupils and older, with bookings opening November 1 at 13:00. Check the evening-service details separately.

Choose transport to the gates and check accessible paths

Official walking estimates are three minutes from JR Ritsurinkoen-kitaguchi, seven from Kotoden Ritsurinkoen and one from Ritsurin-koen-mae bus stop; JR Ritsurin is 15 minutes away. A September 7, 2026 boar-capture notice said some path closures and notices would continue. Check current signs and accessible routes.

Connect station stays, Mure udon and city-centre parking

JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu is by the station and port. Yamadaya Sanuki Main Store requires a separate journey to Mure. Takamatsu Chuo Parking is a separate city-centre facility with construction restrictions. Distinguish it from garden-side parking when choosing the itinerary.
