餡餅・草餅・おはぎを選ぶ売店

看板商品の餡餅「大蔵餅」に加え、草餅、おはぎ、「山吹」などを扱います。餅米や小豆の風味を楽しむ菓子を少しずつ選べるほか、のし餅や焼き餅もあります。店内で食べる甘味とは別に、持ち帰りたい種類を売店で選べます。

ぜんざいとあんみつ、温かい甘味

甘味処にはぜんざいや大蔵あんみつ、温抹茶ぜんざい、温わらび餅、焼き餅などがあります。歩いた後に温かいものを食べたい場合も、冷たい甘味を選びたい場合も立ち寄れます。甘味処は10時からで、売店の開店時刻9時とは異なります。

焼き物の町らしいトイレの形の最中

土産には、LIXIL榎戸工場との協業で生まれた「トイレの最中」もあります。衛生陶器を作る常滑の産業を題材に、トイレの形をした最中皮へ自分で餡を詰める菓子です。一般の餅菓子と組み合わせ、見た目にも町の特徴が伝わる土産を選べます。

本店の営業時間と35台の駐車場

本店は鯉江本町2-2-1、駐車場35台を備えています。売店は9～18時、甘味処のラストオーダーは17時です。月曜は休みですが、祝日の場合は営業して別日に振り替えることがあります。同じ大蔵餅の半田市内店舗とは営業時間や休業予定が異なるため、常滑本店の予定で訪問できます。

常滑市の観光・宿泊・食事と駐車を組み合わせる

市内のINAXライブミュージアムの見学とホテルルートイン常滑駅前での宿泊を組み合わせ、おやつや土産を選ぶ行程が組めます。駅側の時間貸駐車には名鉄協商常滑駅前第2も候補です。本店用駐車場と駅の駐車先は別に使い分け、甘味処の17時注文締切と売店18時終了を見込めます。

Ohkuramochi’s main store specialises in rice-cake sweets in Koie-honmachi. Its background lies in mochi enjoyed by workers in Tokoname’s ceramics industry, with bean-filled mochi, mugwort mochi, ohagi and slab rice cakes among its products. The shop and café support both takeaway souvenirs and seated sweet treats.

Choose filled mochi, mugwort mochi and ohagi

Alongside the signature bean-filled Ohkura mochi, choices include mugwort mochi, ohagi and Yamabuki. The shop offers sweets highlighting glutinous rice and adzuki beans, as well as slab and grilled rice cakes. Select takeaway items at the shop separately from café dishes.

Bean soup, anmitsu and warm sweets

Café choices include sweet bean soup, Ohkura anmitsu, warm matcha bean soup, warm warabi mochi and grilled mochi. There are options for a warm treat after walking or a cold sweet dish. Café service starts at 10:00, later than the shop’s 9:00 opening.

A toilet-shaped monaka linked to the ceramics town

Souvenir choices include a toilet-shaped monaka created with LIXIL’s Enokido factory. Inspired by Tokoname’s sanitary-ceramics industry, it has a toilet-shaped wafer shell that the customer fills with bean paste. It can accompany ordinary rice-cake sweets as a souvenir reflecting the town’s industry.

Main-store hours and 35-space parking

The main store is at 2-2-1 Koie-honmachi, with 35 parking spaces. The shop runs 9:00–18:00, and café last orders are at 17:00. Mondays are closed, except public holidays when a substitute closure may apply. Ohkuramochi’s Handa locations have their own hours and closure dates, so plan using the Tokoname main-store schedule.

Combine Tokoname sights, stays, dining and parking

Combine INAX Live Museum and a stay at Hotel Route-Inn Tokoname Ekimae with sweets or souvenir shopping. Meitetsu Kyosho Tokoname Station No. 2 provides a separate station-side parking option. Use the main-store parking and station parking for their respective stops, accounting for café last orders at 17:00 and shop closing at 18:00.
