和菓子屋が営む江戸末期の建物

和菓子屋・登美家の二代目が、和菓子の素材を生かした甘味を味わう場所として始めた店です。江戸末期の建物を活用し、うだつの町並みの中で和の雰囲気を楽しめます。お菓子と飲み物を組み合わせ、歩いた後に座って過ごす休憩先になります。

クリームわらび大福とわらび餅

クリームわらび大福は、餅の中にあんこ、生クリーム、わらび餅を包み、きなこをかける組合せです。飲み物とのセットも案内されています。わらび餅や焼き菓子などの購入もでき、店内での甘味と持帰りの菓子を目的に応じて選べます。

夏の氷と冬のぜんざい

夏季は、かき氷にわらび餅、黒糖みつ、金時、きなこを組み合わせるわらび氷が特徴です。冬季は炊いた小豆を使うぜんざいを案内しています。季節に合わせた甘味を選べ、通年の大福やわらび餅と組み合わせて休憩できます。

泉町の午後営業と市営駐車場

平日は13時、土日祝は12時に開き、17時30分閉店・17時ラストオーダーです。水曜と木曜は休み。所在地は泉町1887、全30席禁煙で、支払いは現金と一部QR決済です。駐車は観光ふれあい広場などの市営駐車場を利用し、車を停めた後に町を歩いて店へ向かえます。

午後の甘味にあかりの展示と町家での宿泊を合わせられます。アート館は10～3月16時閉館、とみやは17時LOです。センターPは入庫22時まで・出庫24時間で、宿の無料Pや大型車の利用先とは別に一般料金を確認して使えます。

Sabo Tomiya serves Japanese sweets and drinks in an old building in Izumi-cho. Run by confectioner Tomiya, it offers seasonal zenzai, warabi mochi and daifuku, providing an afternoon break while exploring the streets and the former Imai residence.

A confectioner’s café in a late-Edo building

The second generation of confectioner Tomiya established the café to serve sweets based on wagashi ingredients. Its late-Edo-period building sits within the historic district, offering a place to sit down with a sweet and a drink after a walk.

Cream warabi daifuku and warabi mochi

Cream warabi daifuku wraps bean paste, cream and warabi mochi in mochi, finished with kinako. Drinks can accompany the sweet. Warabi mochi and baked confections are also sold, allowing visitors to choose café sweets or something to take away.

Summer shaved ice and winter zenzai

Summer warabi shaved ice combines ice with warabi mochi, brown-sugar syrup, sweet beans and kinako. Winter features zenzai made with carefully simmered azuki beans. Seasonal choices accompany the year-round daifuku and warabi mochi.

Afternoon hours and municipal parking in Izumi-cho

Opening is 13:00 on weekdays and 12:00 on weekends and holidays, closing at 17:30 with last orders at 17:00. Wednesdays and Thursdays are closed. The thirty-seat non-smoking café at 1887 Izumi-cho accepts cash and selected QR payments. Use municipal parking such as Kanko Fureai Hiroba, then walk through town to the café.

Combine sights, meals and local travel

Pair afternoon sweets with lantern art and a townhouse stay. The museum closes at 16:00 October–March, while Tomiya’s last orders are 17:00. Centre parking allows entry until 22:00 and exit at any time, using its public tariff separately from the inn’s parking arrangements.
