城下町散策の出発点に
中津城の見学に使える無料駐車場です。城下町には福澤諭吉旧居・記念館、寺町通り、中津市歴史博物館などがあり、車を停めて歩く行程を組めます。目的地を一つずつ車で移動するより、城周辺を一つの散策区間としてまとめると回りやすくなります。
駐車料と城の入場料を分ける
駐車は無料ですが、中津城の入城料は中学生以上1,000円で飲み物付きです。小学生以下は原則無料で、学校などの引率団体には別料金があります。大人2人で城へ入る場合は、駐車料はかからず入城料は合計2,000円です。
城の受付時刻に合わせる
中津城は9～17時、入場は16時30分までです。到着後に歩く時間や庭園を見る時間も考えて行程を組みます。午後遅くに着く場合は城の見学を先にし、その後に周辺を散策すると展示を見逃しにくくなります。城の開館時間と駐車場の利用条件は別なので、現地の駐車表示に従います。
車を降りて歩く際に
駐車後は城の方向と車を停めた場所を確認してから歩き始めます。小学生だけで中津城へ入ることはできず、保護者の同伴が必要です。城の敷地内はペットや外からの飲食物の持ち込みが禁止されています。城へ入る人と周辺を散策する人が分かれる場合は、先に合流場所を決めておくと便利です。

Start a walk through the castle town
The free car park serves castle visitors. Fukuzawa Yukichi’s former residence and memorial museum, the temple district and Nakatsu History Museum can be included in a walking itinerary. Grouping nearby sights into one walk reduces repeated short drives through the castle town.
Separate parking costs from admission
Parking is free, while castle admission costs ¥1,000 from junior-high age and includes a drink. Younger children normally enter free, with a separate charge for teacher-led groups. Two adults visiting the castle pay ¥2,000 in admission and no parking fee.
Plan around castle entry times
The castle opens 09:00–17:00, with entry until 16:30. Allow time to walk from the car and explore the garden. On a late-afternoon arrival, visit the castle first before walking around the neighborhood. Castle hours do not define parking conditions; follow the signs at the parking area.
Before setting out on foot
Before setting out, note your parking location and the direction of the castle. Elementary pupils need a guardian to enter the castle. Pets and outside food or drink are prohibited inside its grounds. If some companions visit the castle while others explore nearby, agree on a meeting point first.
