七番丁の中央564台と、北駐車場を区別する

中央駐車場は七番丁19、564台の立体駐車場です。同じ市の案内に載る北駐車場は九番丁8・212台の別施設なので、到着先は中央の住所で確認してください。市の徒歩目安は和歌山城まで3分ですが、山上の天守まで3分という意味ではありません。城内の坂道と見学を加えた時間で、車へ戻る予定を組めます。

60分を超えた駐車は、320円からの区分を確認する

無料は駐車時間が60分以内の場合です。平日8時30分～17時の区分は、60分を超えて90分まで320円、その後30分までごと160円。平日17時～翌8時30分と土日祝・12月29日～1月3日は、60分を超えて120分まで320円、その後60分までごと160円です。長く停めた場合に最初の60分分を必ず差し引く案内ではないので、無料枠だけから独自に計算せず精算額を確かめてください。

最大料金は、平日と休日の時間帯ごとに比べる

平日は8時30分～17時の最大1,600円、17時～翌8時30分の最大960円です。土日祝・12月29日～1月3日は、8時30分～21時と21時～翌8時30分がそれぞれ最大640円。640円を入庫後24時間の上限と考えず、またぐ時間帯を含めて確認してください。複数区分や複数日にわたる駐車、再入庫の精算は管理事務所へ照合してから長い利用を組めます。

車両上限と、手帳による5割減額の手続きを合わせる

中央は高さ2.0m、幅1.8m、長さ4.76m、積載物込み重量2.5tを超える車は入場できません。身体・療育・精神の各対象手帳所持者が運転または同乗する場合、一時料金と最大料金が5割減額されます。出庫時に係員へ手帳を提示してください。係員不在は後日精算となるため、領収書を発行して保管する案内です。北駐車場の幅・長さ上限や別施設の免除条件を中央へ転用しないでください。

城内を歩き、駅周辺の宿泊・食事へ移る

一番丁の和歌山城へは、天守の登りと庭園・御橋廊下の受付時刻を含めて歩けます。友田町のホテルグランヴィア和歌山には別の宿泊駐車割引があります。田中町の井出商店へ行く場合も、ここからの移動と木曜の定休を合わせて予定してください。車を出すか置いて移動するかを、戻る時刻と料金区分で選べます。

Distinguish Central’s 564 spaces in Shichibancho from North Parking

Central is a 564-space multistorey car park at 19 Shichibancho. North Parking, also on the city guide, is a separate 212-space facility at 8 Kyubancho. Use Central’s address for arrival. The city lists a three-minute walk to the castle, which does not mean three minutes to the hilltop keep. Include the climb and sightseeing in your return plan.

For stays over 60 minutes, check the tariff starting at ¥320

Free parking applies to stays within 60 minutes. In the weekday 08:30–17:00 category, over 60 and up to 90 minutes costs ¥320, then ¥160 per started 30 minutes. Weekday 17:00–08:30, weekends, public holidays and December 29–January 3 charge ¥320 for over 60 and up to 120 minutes, then ¥160 per started hour. Do not assume the first hour is deducted from every longer stay; check the actual calculation.

Compare maximum charges by weekday and holiday time block

Weekday maximums are ¥1,600 for 08:30–17:00 and ¥960 for 17:00–08:30. On weekends, holidays and December 29–January 3, the 08:30–21:00 and 21:00–08:30 blocks each have a ¥640 maximum. This is not a ¥640 cap for 24 hours after entry. Ask the management office about stays spanning blocks or days and about re-entry.

Check vehicle limits and the procedure for a 50% certificate reduction

Central excludes vehicles exceeding 2.0m high, 1.8m wide, 4.76m long or 2.5 tonnes including cargo. If a driver or passenger holds a qualifying physical, intellectual or mental disability certificate, time charges and maximums are reduced by 50%. Present the certificate to staff on exit. If staff are absent, settlement is later; obtain and retain the receipt. Use Central’s limits and reduction rules for this facility.

Walk through the castle and travel onward to station-area lodging and dining

Walk to Wakayama Castle in Ichibancho, allowing for the keep climb and garden/bridge admission times. Hotel Granvia Wakayama in Tomoda-cho has a separate guest parking discount. Include travel and Thursday closure when visiting Ide Shoten in Tanaka-machi. Choose moving the car or leaving it here around return time and tariff periods.
