港の歴史と神社の由緒を重ねる
神社の由緒には、海の彼方のニライカナイへの祈りや、那覇港を行き来する船が航海の無事を祈り、感謝した歴史が記されています。参拝前後にその説明を読むと、海沿いを歩く時間にも背景が加わります。創始年は不詳とされており、特定の創建年を前提にする必要はありません。
授与所と祈祷の受付を分けて考える
授与所と祈祷受付は時間が異なります。お札やお守りを受けたい方、祈祷を希望する方で到着の目安を分けてください。この表の時間はそれぞれの受付に関する案内です。年始や祭事の日には別の案内が出るため、目的に合う当日の告知を確かめてから訪ねましょう。
旭橋駅から歩く日の準備
旭橋駅からは徒歩約15分の案内です。荷物が大きい到着日は、先に宿へ置いてから歩く方法も考えられます。帰りに国際通りの散策を予定する方は、神社から次の目的地までの経路を別に確認し、暑さや雨に合わせて歩く時間を調整してください。
参拝の車と街歩きの車を置く場所
無料駐車場は20台の案内で、混雑時は近隣の有料駐車場を使うよう案内されています。長い街歩きまで同じ場所に車を置く予定にせず、参拝と次の観光で必要な置き場所を考えてください。県庁前・国際通り側を歩く日は県民広場地下駐車場の条件も比較できます。
那覇の宿とそばの食事へつなぐ
ホテル コレクティブを拠点にする方は、国際通り側からの移動を予定に入れられます。食事に楚辺そばを選ぶ場合は、若狭から楚辺への移動時間を取り、参拝と食事を一続きの徒歩圏と決めつけず、一日の順番を組んでください。
On a day exploring coastal Naha, allow time to worship at Naminoue Shrine in Wakasa. Its clifftop setting and history offer a connection with the port city’s maritime past. If you plan to obtain an amulet, arrange the journey around the counter’s hours.

Connect the shrine with the port’s history
The shrine’s history describes prayers toward Nirai Kanai beyond the sea, and ships at Naha Port praying for and giving thanks for safe voyages. Read that background alongside the visit to give a coastal walk more context. The founding year is unknown.
Distinguish counter hours from prayer reception
The amulet counter and prayer reception have different hours. Choose an arrival time according to the purpose of the visit. The times in the table refer to those services. New Year and festival dates may have separate arrangements, so check the notice relevant to your date.
Prepare for the walk from Asahibashi
The listed walk from Asahibashi is about 15 minutes. On an arrival day with large luggage, consider leaving it at the hotel first. If Kokusai-dori is the next stop, check that onward route separately and adapt the walking plan to heat or rain.
Choose parking for worship and for a city walk

Connect the visit with a Naha stay and soba meal
