From Nihondaira’s hill, Yume Terrace offers views toward Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay and Shimizu Port. Indoors are displays about Nihondaira and an observation floor; outside, a viewing corridor runs for about 200 metres. Choose where to view the scenery alongside the building’s hours and admission.
At a glance
| Location | 600-1 Kusanagi, Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City |

| Indoor hours Sunday–Friday | 09:00–17:00; last entry 16:30 |
| Indoor hours Saturday | 09:00–21:00; last entry 20:30 |
| Observation-facility admission | Adults/high-school students ¥100; primary/junior-high students ¥50, from 1 October 2026 |
| Outdoor corridor and closures | Corridor free with all-day access; building closed second Tuesday, next weekday if a holiday, and usual 26–31 December |
Choose indoor displays and views from the corridor
The guide lists history and landscape displays on floor one, a tea lounge on floor two and an observation floor on three. The roughly 200-metre outdoor corridor provides changing viewpoints. Mount Fuji’s visibility depends on weather; allow time for the displays and building as well as the outlook.
Check the October admission change and re-entry conditions
From 1 October 2026, observation-facility admission is ¥100 for adults/high-school students or ¥50 for primary/junior-high students. The outdoor corridor remains free. Buy tickets at the indoor ticket counter; ordinary re-entry is unavailable, with an exception where lift access is needed, such as for wheelchair users. Check the required route with reception.
Plan Saturday evening access and building closures
Saturday indoor opening lasts until 21:00, with entry by 20:30. Other days close at 17:00, last entry 16:30. The usual guidance allows corridor access on building-closure days, including the second Tuesday; also check temporary restrictions for the date. The announced October 2026 building closure is the 13th.
Check the bus approach and return departure
The official guide uses the Nihondaira bus line from Shizuoka Station’s north-side stop 11, followed by about five minutes from Nihondaira Yume Terrace Iriguchi. An approach from Higashi-Shizuoka is also listed. Allow for waiting as well as travel, and choose return transport before a night-view visit.
Connect a hillside stay with Mariko and the station area
For a stay at Nippondaira Hotel, check the onward route and room times. Chojiya is a Mariko-area dining stop, while Inamori Main Parking serves the station area. Allow a separate journey for each area.
