1階には札幌農学校や文化財についての資料、2階には講堂の空間と時計機械についての展示があります。建物の前で写真を撮る予定と、館内で説明を読む予定を分けて考えると、旅程へ組み込みやすくなります。時計のしくみに興味がある方は、2階の展示に使う時間も確保してください。
鐘や実演の日程を確認する
鐘は毎正時に鳴る案内です。館内の見学時間と、その時刻を合わせる方法も考えられます。巻き上げ実演は実施予定日が公式サイトで案内されるので、実演を目当てにする方は日付と時刻を確認してください。通常の入館案内だけで毎日の開催とは判断しないようにしましょう。
無料開館の日と季節の準備
2026年10月16日は創建記念日の無料開館が公式に案内されています。毎月16日の札幌市民向け無料の日には居住確認の条件があるため、この創建記念日の案内と区別してください。また、館内には冷房設備がなく、冬も暖かい服装を案内しています。季節に合わせた服装で、館内に過ごす時間を取ってください。
駅と駐車場からの移動
大通駅は市役所側出口から徒歩約5分の案内です。時計台には一般用の専用駐車場がありません。車の方は札幌大通地下駐車場などの利用条件と、駐車後の徒歩移動を確かめてください。車椅子での利用や歩行に支援が必要な場合は事務所へ相談できます。
宿と夕食へ一日をつなぐ
札幌グランドホテルを拠点にする方は、到着後に荷物を置く順番を考えられます。夕食に成吉思汗だるま 本店を選ぶ場合は、すすきのへの移動を別に確保し、昼の見学から夜の食事へつなげてください。

Allow for the exterior and exhibits
The first floor includes material about Sapporo Agricultural College and heritage, while the second includes the hall and clock-mechanism displays. Plan exterior photographs separately from reading inside. If the clock’s workings interest you, allow time for the second-floor displays.
Check the bell and demonstration schedule
The tower lists a bell at each hour. You can plan viewing time around it. Clock-winding demonstrations have announced dates and times on the official site; check those if the demonstration is your priority rather than assuming it happens every day.
Special opening dates and seasonal preparation
The official site announces free opening for the founding anniversary on 16 October 2026. The monthly resident free-admission day has address-verification conditions; distinguish that scheme from this anniversary announcement. The building has no air conditioning, and warm clothing is advised in winter. Prepare for the season when allowing time inside.
Arrival from the station or parking
The municipal-office-side exit of Odori Station is listed as about five minutes away on foot. The Clock Tower has no general visitor car park. Drivers can check Sapporo Odori Underground Parking and the onward walk. Discuss wheelchair access or assistance with the office in advance.
Connect the visit with a stay and dinner
For a stay at Sapporo Grand Hotel, decide where leaving luggage fits after arrival. If dinner will be at Jingisukan Daruma Main Shop, allow a separate journey to Susukino between the daytime visit and evening meal.
