海地獄｜青い熱泉と足湯、単館券・7地獄共通券の選び方

青い池から湯けむりが立つ海地獄で、別府の熱泉を眺める散策。園内では赤い池や温室、足湯も組み合わせられます。海地獄だけを見る単館券と、7か所を巡る共通観覧券は別の選択肢。入場範囲と移動する地区を決めてから、見学と休憩の順番を整えてください。

青い池から、赤い池と温室へ進む

海地獄の青い池は約98℃の熱泉です。湯けむりと水の色を観覧場所から眺め、園内の赤池や、温泉熱を利用する温室へ進むと景色が変わります。GALLERY AOでは展示も見られます。熱泉を観覧する場所と、足を浸すために温度を調整した足湯を分けて予定に入れてください。

単館500円と、7か所2,400円を選び分ける

海地獄の個人入場は高校生以上500円、小・中学生250円です。7地獄共通観覧券はそれぞれ2,400円・1,200円で、海・血の池・龍巻・白池・鬼石坊主・鬼山・かまど地獄が対象。購入日と翌日の2日間有効で、各地獄に1回ずつ入場できます。巡る数と翌日の予定を合わせて選び、団体や手帳の割引は対象条件を確認してください。

8時～17時の見学に、足湯の休憩を加える

通常の営業時間は8時～17時です。園内の屋根付き足湯は、海地獄へ入場した人が追加料金なしで利用できます。足湯だけを無料で利用できるという入場条件ではありません。足を拭くタオルを用意し、池や展示を見てから休む順番を組めます。夜間の特別営業は開催日ごとの案内を確認してください。

地獄めぐりの2地区と、到着する停留所を確認する

海地獄周辺の鉄輪に5地獄がまとまり、血の池・龍巻地獄は約3km離れた別の地区です。7か所を巡る場合は、その間の車やバス移動を加えてください。JR別府駅西口からは「海地獄前」や「鉄輪」へ向かうバスの案内があります。利用日の路線・時刻を確認し、車なら海地獄の無料駐車場を使えます。

観海寺の滞在と、北浜の食事へつなぐ

観海寺の別府温泉杉乃井ホテルと、北浜のとよ常本店へは移動を予定に加えます。海側の別府市的ヶ浜駐車場は海地獄の無料駐車とは別の有料施設。見学17時まで、食事の注文20時までという締切と、ホテル設備の利用時間を合わせて回る順番を決めてください。

Continue from the blue pool to the red pool and greenhouse

The blue pool is a hot spring of about 98°C. View its colour and steam from the visitor area, then vary the walk with Akaiike’s red pool, a greenhouse using spring heat and GALLERY AO exhibits. Keep hot-spring viewing separate from the temperature-adjusted footbath.

Choose between ¥500 single entry and the ¥2,400 seven-site pass

Individual Umi Jigoku entry costs ¥500 for high-school students and older or ¥250 for elementary and junior-high students. The seven-site pass costs ¥2,400/¥1,200 and covers Umi, Chinoike, Tatsumaki, Shiraike, Oniishibozu, Oniyama and Kamado. It is valid on purchase day and the next day, with one entry per site. Check discount eligibility separately.

Add a footbath break within the 08:00–17:00 visit

Regular hours are 08:00–17:00. The roofed footbath is included for visitors admitted to Umi Jigoku; this does not provide free admission solely to use it. Bring a towel and place the break after the pools or exhibits. Check dated announcements for any special evening opening.

Check the two sightseeing areas and arrival stop

Five sites cluster around Umi Jigoku in Kannawa; Chinoike and Tatsumaki form another area about 3km away. Allow a car or bus leg between them. Buses from JR Beppu Station’s west exit serve Umi Jigoku Mae or Kannawa; check the day’s route and timetable. Umi Jigoku has free parking.

Continue to a Kankaiji stay and Kitahama dining

Allow onward travel to Kankaiji’s Beppu Onsen Suginoi Hotel and Kitahama’s Toyotsune Main Store. Coastal Beppu City Matogahama Parking is a separate paid facility. Coordinate the 17:00 sightseeing close, 20:00 meal last orders and hotel amenity hours.
