1914年から続く勢川の本店

勢川は1914年6月に割烹旅館「勢河」として創業し、1952年に食堂「勢川」と改名しました。1967年に初めての支店となる新吉店が開いたことで、松葉町の店が本店となりました。街の食堂として受け継がれた歩みを持ち、各地にのれんを分けた勢川の出発点です。

うどん・そばから洋食のご飯ものまで

うどん・そばは昔ながらの製法で作られ、本店には中華そば、オムライス、ハヤシライスなどもあります。麺を食べたい人とご飯ものを選びたい人が同じ店で注文できる、幅のある品ぞろえです。支店ごとにメニューの個性があり、本店はその食堂らしい選択肢も特徴になっています。

11時から19時30分、月曜と第3月曜翌日の休み

通常の営業時間は11～19時30分です。毎週月曜が定休日で、第3月曜とその翌火曜は連休になります。ランチと夕食で時間帯を分ける案内ではなく、日中から夕方にかけて利用を考えやすい営業時間です。月の第3週に訪れる場合は、月曜に加えて火曜も休みとなる日程を旅の予定に組み込めます。

食事の前後にこども未来館ここにこを訪ね、駅周辺でコンフォートホテル豊橋に泊まる行程が組めます。松葉エリアの時間貸しには松葉公園地下駐車場もありますが、11月2日から長期休止予定です。本店の月曜・第3月曜翌火曜の休みと、駐車場の営業期間を合わせて計画できます。

The original restaurant in a business dating to 1914

The business began in June 1914 as the restaurant and inn Segawa, then adopted its present diner name in 1952. When its first branch opened in Shinyoshi in 1967, the Matsuba-cho restaurant became the main establishment. It remains the starting point of the Segawa restaurants that later spread around the region.

Noodles alongside familiar rice dishes

Udon and soba are made using traditional methods. The main restaurant also serves old-style ramen, omurice and hayashi rice, giving noodle lovers and those preferring rice dishes choices at the same table. Menus vary between branches; the broad diner-style selection is part of this original restaurant’s character.

Normal hours and the additional monthly Tuesday closure

Normal hours are 11:00–19:30. The restaurant closes every Monday, with an additional closure on the Tuesday immediately after the month’s third Monday. The listed hours run through the daytime and early evening. When planning a visit around the third Monday, allow for the following Tuesday’s closure as well.

Walking from the east exit to Matsuba-cho

The address is 3-88 Matsuba-cho, around six minutes on foot from Toyohashi Station’s east exit. The tourism association lists forty-six first-floor seats, twenty-four upstairs and affiliated parking. It is conveniently placed for walking from station-area accommodation or stopping for a meal during a central-city stroll.

Visit Coconico Children’s Future Museum before or after the meal and stay near the station at Comfort Hotel Toyohashi. Matsuba Park Underground Parking is a Matsuba-area parking option, with a long closure scheduled from November 2. Arrange the outing around the restaurant’s Monday and additional monthly Tuesday closures and the parking operating period.
