駐車場は無料で、普通車207台のうち6台が車椅子利用者用、大型車13台の案内です。港の目の前にあり、道の駅での休憩や買い物、食事に利用できます。歩行者が移動する場内では、トイレや店舗へ向かう動線に注意して進みます。

トイレと観光案内を利用する

施設にはトイレとスロープがあり、館内の総合案内では南伊豆地域の観光情報を扱います。自然体験を紹介する「し～もん」と、伊豆半島ジオパーク下田ビジターセンターも併設。休憩中に、次に向かう場所や体験の情報を集められます。

飲食店はそれぞれの営業時間で立ち寄る

館内の基本時間は9時～17時ですが、店舗ごとに営業が異なります。東棟1階のRa-maruは10時～17時、ラストオーダー16時30分で、金目鯛の下田バーガーなどを提供しています。駐車してから食事や買い物をする場合は、利用する店の時間に合わせます。

大型車エリアのEV充電区画

EV急速充電器は大型車駐車場内にありますが、充電区画は普通車も利用できます。Terra Chargeアプリでアカウントと支払い情報を登録し、充電器のIDを読み取って利用する方式です。駐車料金とは別に充電ごとの料金が発生します。

下田市内で組み合わせる訪問先

同じ道の駅のRa-maruと買い物を楽しみ、水族館や東急ホテルへ移動する行程を組めます。水族館には無料の専用駐車場があり、道の駅から歩くか車で移動するかを選べます。Ra-maruの注文は16時30分までです。

The parking area at Kaikoku Shimoda Minato provides a harbour-side stop for rest, food and tourist information. Use the toilets or restaurants before or after exploring town, with coastal views close by. Choose the appropriate parking or charging bay for your vehicle.

Free parking for cars and large vehicles

Parking is free, with 207 ordinary-car spaces including six accessible spaces, plus thirteen large-vehicle spaces. It is directly beside the harbour and serves the roadside station’s rest facilities, shops and restaurants. Watch for pedestrians moving between vehicles, toilets and businesses.

Use the toilets and tourist information

Toilets and ramps are provided, with indoor tourist information covering southern Izu. The station also houses the Shimon outdoor activity information service and Izu Peninsula Geopark Shimoda Visitor Centre. Gather ideas for your next destination or activity while taking a break.

Visit the restaurants during their individual hours

Indoor facilities generally open 9:00–17:00, while individual businesses keep their own hours. Ra-maru on the first floor of the east building opens 10:00–17:00, with last orders at 16:30, serving the kinmedai Shimoda burger and other choices. Plan meals and shopping around the relevant shop’s hours.

EV charging bays in the large-vehicle area

The rapid EV charger is in the large-vehicle parking area, but ordinary cars can use its charging bays. Use the Terra Charge app to register an account and payment details and read the charger ID. Charging incurs a separate usage charge even though parking is free.

Other stops to combine within Shimoda

Enjoy Ra-maru and shopping at the same roadside station before travelling to the aquarium or Tokyu Hotel. The aquarium has its own free parking, allowing a choice of walking or driving from the harbour area. Ra-maru last orders are at 16:30.
