下田海中水族館｜自然の入江でイルカを観察、料金と12月の休館日

下田海中水族館は、海に浮かぶ通路を歩きながらイルカやペンギン、伊豆近海の生き物を観察できる施設です。自然の入江の風景と屋内水槽を行き来し、ショーの時間に合わせて見学できます。海辺の散策とは違う、生き物の動きに合わせた下田の滞在を楽しめます。

Shimoda Aquarium combines floating walkways across a natural inlet with indoor exhibits of marine life. Watch dolphins, penguins and creatures from the seas around Izu, arranging your visit around the shows. Moving between the inlet and indoor tanks gives a varied introduction to Shimoda’s coastal environment.

入江のイルカと海に浮かぶ水槽を見て回る

自然の入江にはイルカが暮らし、海上ステージでその動きを観察できます。船を使ったアクアドームペリー号には大水槽があり、伊豆の海の生物館「うみめぐり」では近海の魚を展示。ペンギンのパノラマプールやコツメカワウソ展示舎、クラゲ展示のクラリウムも、通路で結ばれています。

ショーの時刻と開催中の定置網展を組み合わせる

9時30分開館日のワンダーオーシャンは11時・13時・15時、マリンファンタジーは9時50分・15時40分の案内です。水槽や動物の展示をその間に回れます。「まるっと定置網展」は2027年1月31日まで、アクアドームペリー号内で開催予定。解説パネル、模型と水槽を通じ、身近な魚と沿岸漁業の仕組みを知る展示です。

入館料金、年末までの営業時間と休館日

入館は中学生以上2,500円、4歳～小学生1,250円です。障がい者手帳所持者は一般料金の半額で、本人1名につき付添い1名にも同じ料金が適用されます。2026年12月31日までは9時30分～16時30分、最終入館は原則として閉館60分前。12月15～18日は館内整備の休館日です。見学には90～120分が目安となります。

駅からの移動と浮き桟橋の利用条件

伊豆急下田駅7番乗り場からバス約7分、タクシー約5分、徒歩約25分です。乗用車200台・バス10台の駐車場は無料。桟橋は波で揺れ、潮位によってスロープの傾斜が変わるため、車椅子・ベビーカーには付添いが必要です。クラリウム入口は階段、マリンスタジアムは階段状の観覧席です。中小型犬（10kg程度）はカート・ケージ等を使い、小型犬のみ抱っこも可能です。猫はケージを使います。ペットは通路に降ろせず、飲食店へは同伴できません。

下田市内で組み合わせる訪問先

水族館の見学後、港側の道の駅でRa-maruへ立ち寄り、下田東急ホテルへ泊まる行程を組めます。水族館には専用無料駐車場があり、まどが浜は港の別の散策先です。まどが浜へ車で向かう場合は17時の駐車場閉鎖までに戻ります。

Explore the inlet and floating aquarium

Dolphins live in the natural inlet and can be watched at the floating stage. Aquadome Perry, built inside a floating vessel, contains a large aquarium tank, while Umimeguri introduces animals from Izu waters. Walkways also connect the penguin panorama pool, small-clawed otter exhibit and Clarium jellyfish displays.

Combine the shows with the current set-net exhibition

On days opening at 9:30, Wonder Ocean is listed at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00, and Marine Fantasy at 9:50 and 15:40. Visit the tanks and animal exhibits between shows. The Marutto Set-Net Exhibition is scheduled through January 31, 2027 inside Aquadome Perry, using panels, a model and aquarium displays to explain coastal fishing and familiar fish.

Admission, hours through year-end and closure dates

Admission is ¥2,500 for junior-high pupils and older visitors, or ¥1,250 for children aged four through elementary school. A disability certificate reduces the general price by half, with the same rate for one companion per certificate holder. Opening hours are 9:30–16:30 through December 31, 2026, normally with last admission one hour before closing. The aquarium closes December 15–18 for maintenance. Allow roughly ninety to one hundred and twenty minutes.

Station access and floating-walkway conditions

From Izukyu-Shimoda Station, take the aquarium bus from stop seven for about seven minutes, a taxi for about five minutes, or walk for about twenty-five minutes. Car and bus parking is free. Waves and tides change the floating walkways’ movement and slope, so wheelchair and stroller users need a companion. Clarium has entrance steps and Marine Stadium has tiered seating. Small or medium dogs of around ten kilograms require a carrier, cart or similar arrangement; small dogs may also be held. Cats require a cage. Pets must stay off the walkways and cannot enter food outlets.

Other stops to combine within Shimoda

After the aquarium, visit Ra-maru at the harbour roadside station before a stay at Shimoda Tokyu Hotel. The aquarium has its own free parking; Madogahama is a separate harbour walk. If driving there, return to the car before its parking closes at 17:00.
