岐阜公園は金華山の麓にあり、庭園や歴史の景色を楽しめる公園です。園内の飲食・買い物と、近くの川原町散策を組み合わせられます。岐阜城天守閣と資料館は改修のため休館中で、2027年11月に再開予定です。

庭園をつないで麓を散策する
正門付近の総合案内所を起点に、信長の庭や日中友好庭園などを歩くと、山頂へ登らなくても公園を楽しめます。三重塔へ目を向けたり、季節の木々を眺めたりしながら、休憩を挟んで巡りましょう。総合案内所では台数限定で車いすを借りられます。利用を希望する場合は、当日の空き状況と歩きやすい経路を案内所で確かめてください。
城の休館と山道の規制を確認する
天守閣の通常入館はできず、外観も2027年4月中旬まで養生シートに覆われる予定です。山頂付近には通行止めがあり、めい想の小径や鼻高ハイキングコースから山頂駅側へ通り抜けられません。ロープウェーにも2026年12月1～28日、2027年1月7日～2月16日の運休予定があります。公園散策のついでに山頂まで歩くと決めず、工事と運行状況を確認して別の行程として計画しましょう。
楽市と茶席で休憩する
公園内の岐阜城楽市には、飲食店や食の買物を楽しめる店があります。営業時間と休業日は店舗ごとに異なり、公園に着いた時間にすべて開いているとは限りません。茶席の華松軒は10時～16時、月曜休館で、祝日の場合は翌日休み。菓子付きの茶は一服500円の案内です。昼食を別の店で予約している場合は、軽い休憩と食事の時間を分けると回りやすくなります。
駅からのバスと駐車場所を選ぶ
岐阜駅側からはバスで約15分、「岐阜公園・岐阜城」下車後徒歩約1分が目安です。車では公園周辺の駐車場か、駅側からの乗換えを検討できます。大宮町駐車場はバスや歩行に配慮が必要な人などの優先駐車場で、普通車が無条件に利用できる場所ではありません。混雑する日は、駐車してから園内までの移動時間を含めて到着時刻を考えましょう。
長良川の宿と城下町の食事へ
宿泊には長良川沿いの十八楼、食事には米屋町の飛騨牛グリルばくろがあります。駅で乗り換える場合は岐阜市駅西駐車場も利用できます。
Gifu Park lies at the foot of Mount Kinka, with gardens and historic scenery. Combine dining and shopping in the park with a stroll through nearby Kawaramachi. Gifu Castle’s keep and museum are closed for renovation, with reopening planned for November 2027.

Link the gardens on a foothill walk
Start near the main-gate information center and link Nobunaga’s Garden with the Friendship Garden for a walk that does not require a summit climb. Look toward the pagoda and seasonal trees, with rests along the way. A limited number of wheelchairs can be borrowed from the information center; ask about availability and suitable routes.
Check castle closure and trail restrictions
The keep cannot be entered and is expected to remain covered by construction sheeting until mid-April 2027. Summit-area closures prevent passage from the Meiso and Hanataka trails to the summit-station side. Ropeway suspensions are planned for December 1–28, 2026 and January 7–February 16, 2027. Treat any mountain outing as a separate plan after checking construction and transport status.
Pause at Rakuichi or the tea room
Gifujo Rakuichi contains food and retail outlets with individual hours and closing days; not every shop will be open whenever you arrive. Kashoken serves tea with a sweet for a listed ¥500, normally 10:00–16:00, closed Monday or the following day after a holiday. If lunch is booked elsewhere, keep this as a separate short break.
Choose bus access and parking
From the Gifu Station area, allow around fifteen minutes by bus and one minute on foot from Gifu Park / Gifu Castle stop. Drivers can consider nearby parking or a station-area transfer. Omiya-cho parking prioritizes buses and people needing mobility assistance, so do not assume unrestricted ordinary-car access. Include the walk from parking in your arrival estimate.
Continue to a riverside stay and town dining
Stay beside the Nagara River at Juhachiro or dine in Komeya-cho at Hida Beef Grill Bakuro. For a station transfer, consider Gifu Ekinishi Parking.
