十八楼は、長良川の川辺で温泉と会席料理を楽しめる宿です。川原町の散策を挟み、朝と夜で浴場を替えながら過ごす旅に向いています。部屋は川側の和室、ベッド付き、露天風呂付きなど条件が異なるため、眺望と寝具の希望を先に整理して選びましょう。日帰り入浴は宿泊とは別の受付条件です。

川側と寝具の違いから部屋を選ぶ
川側の10畳和室に加え、ツインやトリプルのベッド付き客室、露天風呂付き客室などがあります。眺望なしの客室もあるので、川の景色を重視する場合は「川側」の指定を確認してください。ベッドと布団を組み合わせるタイプもあり、同じ定員でも寝方は異なります。離れの「宿いとう」は別の宿泊商品なので、本館の部屋と取り違えず予約内容を確認しましょう。
蔵の湯を含む浴場は朝晩で入れ替わる
2階の「川の瀬」には蔵を生かした「蔵の湯」が併設されています。川の瀬は男性14時～24時、女性5時30分～10時、1階の「川の音」はその逆の時間帯で案内されています。入浴前に入口の表示を確かめ、夜と翌朝で違う浴場を楽しめます。サウナと貸切風呂はありません。家族で専用の浴室を使いたい場合は、客室風呂付きの部屋の条件を確認してください。
会席の内容と子どもの条件を確認する
会席料理は予約するプランによって内容が異なり、すべてのプランに飛騨牛が付くわけではありません。食べたい料理がある場合はプランの献立を確認しましょう。食物アレルギーへの相談は予約時に行い、当日の申告では対応できない案内です。食事・寝具なしの子どもも0歳から施設使用料2,200円（税込）が基本のため、子どもの人数と年齢を含めて見積りを確認してください。
車と駅の送り、日帰り入浴を区別する
駐車場は建物斜め向かいの屋外で、無料・予約不要です。長良橋を北側から渡る普通車は、鋭角の右折で直接入らないよう案内されています。駅から個人客を迎える便はなく、帰りは9時30分発の無料バス1本です。立ち寄り湯は90分、大人1,500円、2歳～小学生700円、現金払い。駐車場・館内利用も90分に含み、営業日時は日ごとに異なるため事前確認が必要です。
公園散策と外食を組み合わせる
周辺の岐阜公園では麓の庭園を巡れますが、岐阜城天守は改修休館中です。外食を入れるなら飛騨牛グリルばくろの昼食と宿の夕食を組み合わせる方法があります。岐阜市駅西駐車場は駅周辺用の有料施設なので、宿へ車で直接向かう場合は宿の駐車案内に従いましょう。
Juhachiro combines hot-spring bathing and kaiseki beside the Nagara River. It suits a stay with Kawaramachi walks and different baths in the evening and morning. Room choices differ in view, bedding and private-bath facilities, so clarify your priorities before booking. Day bathing has separate admission conditions from an overnight stay.

Choose your view and bedding
Options include river-facing ten-tatami rooms, twin or triple bed rooms, and rooms with open-air baths. Some rooms lack a view, so verify a river-side designation if scenery matters. Some layouts combine beds and futons. The detached Yado Ito is a separate accommodation product; check that your booking matches the intended property and room.
Baths, including Kura no Yu, alternate by gender
The second-floor Kawa no Se includes Kura no Yu in a converted storehouse. Kawa no Se is listed for men 14:00–24:00 and women 05:30–10:00, with the first-floor Kawa no Ne using the opposite allocation. Check entrance signs and try different areas at night and in the morning. There is no sauna or bookable private bath; consider room-bath options if private family bathing matters.
Check meals and children’s arrangements
Meals depend on the booked plan, and Hida beef is not included in every plan. Check the menu if a particular dish matters. Discuss food allergies at booking; the property states that same-day requests cannot be accommodated. The standard facility charge starts at ¥2,200 including tax even for infants without meals or bedding, so include all children and ages when checking the total.
Distinguish parking, the shuttle and day bathing
Free outdoor parking is diagonally opposite, with no reservation required. Ordinary cars arriving across Nagara Bridge from the north should not make the sharp right turn directly in. There is no individual station pickup; the return shuttle has one 09:30 departure. Day bathing is ninety minutes including parking and other on-site time, at ¥1,500 for adults and ¥700 for ages two through elementary school, cash only. Available dates and times vary.
Combine park walks and outside dining
Visit the foothill gardens at Gifu Park, remembering that the keep is closed for renovation. Lunch at Hida Beef Grill Bakuro can be paired with dinner at the ryokan. Gifu Ekinishi Parking is a paid station-area facility; drivers staying here should follow the ryokan’s own parking directions.
