本館と、公開している歴史建物を分ける
本館は2026年9月1日から2027年6月末まで休館予定です。旧税関と旧銀行は公開が続いており、本館内の常設展やシアターへ入る予定は組めません。工事の状況で休館期間が変わる場合があるため、訪問日の公開範囲を確認してください。
旧銀行で、昭和の暮らしの道具を見る
2026年11月23日までの「第23回むかしのくらし展 昭和のくらしと道具」は、旧第四銀行住吉町支店1階で開催する無料展示です。衣食住に使われた道具を、銀行建物の空間で見られます。展示期間中の休みは原則月曜ですが、11月2日・23日は開館の案内です。10月13日は休館なので、通常の曜日だけで決めずカレンダーを確認してください。
建物の見学と、水辺の時間を組み合わせる
敷地には旧税関と旧銀行などの歴史建物が集まり、港町の街歩きに組み込めます。建物内の公開時間と、屋外で過ごす時間を分けて予定を立ててください。本館が再開してからの展示予定は、再開案内が出てから選べます。

対岸の滞在と、駅南の食事へつなぐ
ホテル日航新潟や万代島駐車場は川の対岸側です。水辺の移動を予定に加えてください。政家 新潟駅南店は駅の南側の食事先。建物の見学と駅への移動を合わせ、食事の注文締切まで余裕を取れます。

Distinguish the closed main building from open historic buildings
The main building’s scheduled closure runs September 1, 2026 to the end of June 2027. Customs and bank buildings remain open; the main permanent gallery and theatre are unavailable. Check the accessible areas for the visit, as construction can alter the period.
See Showa-era everyday objects in the bank
The free 23rd daily-life exhibition runs through November 23, 2026 on the bank’s first floor, showing objects used for clothing, food and home life. Mondays generally close during the exhibition, with November 2 and 23 listed open; October 13 closes. Check the calendar.
Combine building visits with time by the river
The site brings historic customs and bank buildings together for a port-town walk. Plan indoor viewing hours separately from time outdoors. Choose future main-museum exhibits after reopening information is available.
Choose transport from the station or site parking
The access guide estimates about 40 minutes on foot or ten by taxi from Niigata Station. For buses, check Niigata Kotsu’s current route, stop and timetable. Listed parking is 66 cars and seven buses; choose transport to suit walking distance and weather.
