仙台で伊達家の歴史に触れる日には、経ヶ峯の瑞鳳殿を訪ねる組み方があります。装飾を見る時間と、参道の階段を進む時間を合わせて予定に入れ、季節ごとに変わる最終入館まで余裕を取ってください。仙台駅からの往復も、行きと帰りを分けて考えられます。

再建された霊屋の装飾を見上げる
瑞鳳殿は伊達政宗の霊屋で、現在の建物は戦災後の1979年に再建されたものです。涅槃門や本殿の装飾を読むときには、創建当初からすべての建物がそのまま残っていると考えず、再建と修復の経緯も合わせて見ることができます。境内を回る順番は、到着時の案内図で決めてください。
2026年秋の特別公開と資料館の休館
2026年10月3日～18日は本殿の特別御開帳が告知されています。一方、10月12日は資料館が終日休館し、個人観覧料は大人460円、高校生310円、小中学生160円に減額される案内です。日付ごとの条件を確認し、通常の表と特別日の料金を区別してください。
バスの帰路と、参道の階段
るーぷる仙台の「瑞鳳殿前」から徒歩約7分の案内です。周遊バスは一方向の運行なので、見学後に直接仙台駅へ戻る方には「霊屋橋・瑞鳳殿前」からの路線バスが案内されています。参道と敷地には階段などの段差があります。車椅子での見学は介助者の人数などを事前に相談し、往復に必要な時間も取ってください。
観覧者用の駐車場へ向かう
正面入口左手の第一駐車場は無料で、観覧目的の利用です。カーナビで施設名だけを入れると職員用駐車場へ案内される場合があるため、公式は駐車場へ向かう住所として「霊屋下18-12」を案内しています。施設の所在地とは別に、この車での案内先を確認してください。中心部の買い物には勾当台公園地下駐車場などへ置く予定を別に組めます。
駅の宿と牛たんの食事へ戻る
ホテルメトロポリタン仙台に荷物を置く方は、見学と入館時刻を並べて到着日の予定を考えられます。食事を牛たん焼専門店 司 東口店にする場合は、駅の西側から東側への移動と、昼・夜に分かれる営業時間も合わせてください。
For a day exploring the Date family’s history in Sendai, consider Zuihoden on Kyogamine. Allow time for both the decorations and the approach with steps, working back from the seasonal last-entry time. Plan the outward and return journeys from Sendai Station separately.

Look at the reconstructed mausoleum’s decoration
Zuihoden is Date Masamune’s mausoleum. The current building was reconstructed in 1979 after wartime destruction. View the Nirvanamon gate and main-building decoration with that reconstruction and restoration history in mind. Use the site map to choose the order of the visit.
Autumn 2026 opening and the museum closure
A special opening of the main mausoleum is announced for 3–18 October 2026. On 12 October, the museum closes all day and individual admission is reduced to ¥460 for adults, ¥310 for high-school students and ¥160 for elementary/junior-high students. Distinguish these dated arrangements from standard admission.
Plan the return bus and the steps
The listed walk from Loople Sendai’s Zuihoden-mae stop is about seven minutes. The loop runs one way; the site directs visitors returning straight to Sendai Station to regular buses from Otamayabashi/Zuihoden-mae. The approach and grounds have steps. Discuss wheelchair assistance in advance and allow time for the return.
Use the visitor parking approach
The free first car park to the left of the front entrance is for visitors to the site. Navigation using only the facility name may lead to staff parking; the official driving address is 18-12 Otamayashita. Check that approach separately from the mausoleum’s postal address. Plan a different parking location, such as Kotodai Park Underground Parking, for central shopping.
Return to a station stay and gyutan meal
With luggage at Hotel Metropolitan Sendai, arrange an arrival-day visit around last entry. For a meal at Gyutan Tsukasa East Exit Shop, include the journey from the station’s west side to its east side and the separate lunch and evening hours.
