スワンタイルカフェは、日東製陶所がタイルの魅力を伝えるカフェです。床・壁・テーブルなど約14万個のタイルを使った空間で食事をし、隣接するSWAN工房で雑貨作りを組み合わせられます。

約14万個のタイルを使ったカフェ

美濃焼卸団地の倉庫を改装し、床・壁・テーブルやプレートにタイルを使っています。大きな窓から入る光で素材の表情を楽しめ、釉薬桶を再利用したランプシェードもあります。地元作家の作品やタイル雑貨の販売も行っています。

ランチ1580円からと午後のデザート

11～14時のプレートランチは税込1580円、ハンバーグランチ1780円、タルティーヌ1400円、キッズプレート900円です。ランチのタイル箸置きは持ち帰れます。14～16時のデザートプレートは800円で、内容は季節によって変わります。

隣接するSWAN工房の雑貨作り

工房は11～16時、受付14時までで、作品作りは約1～2時間です。コースター500円、写真立て800円、ハウス型貯金箱1200円、植木鉢・鍋敷き各1500円などを選び、完成品はその日持ち帰れます。カフェと工房の予約は電話・問い合わせフォームで受け付けています。

旭ケ丘へのバスと駐車場

多治見ICから車約7分で、駐車場があります。多治見駅北口から桜ヶ丘行きバス約15分、「美濃焼卸団地前」下車後徒歩約5分。タクシーは駅から約10分です。火曜・隔週水曜の休みと、食事14時・工房受付14時の区切りに合わせて訪れます。

周辺の観光・食事と移動を組み合わせる

同じ旭ケ丘のこども陶器博物館と食事・雑貨作りを組み合わせられます。駅南立体を使ってから旭ケ丘へ出かける日は移動時間を取り、カフェの火曜と隔週水曜休みも合わせて予定を立てます。

Swantile Cafe introduces the tiles made by Nitto Seitosho. Around 140,000 tiles decorate its floors, walls and tables, with meals in the cafe and optional craft-making in the adjacent SWAN workshop.

A cafe decorated with around 140,000 tiles

A former warehouse in the Mino ceramics wholesale district now uses tiles on floors, walls, tables and plates. Large windows reveal the materials in changing light, and lampshades reuse glaze containers. Works by local makers and tile goods are also sold.

Lunch from ¥1,580 and afternoon desserts

Lunch from 11:00 to 14:00 includes a plate lunch at ¥1,580, hamburger-steak lunch ¥1,780, tartine ¥1,400 and children’s plate ¥900, including tax. The tile chopstick rest used with lunch can be taken home. Afternoon dessert plates cost ¥800 from 14:00 to 16:00, with contents changing by season.

Making tile goods at the adjacent SWAN workshop

The workshop opens 11:00–16:00, taking arrivals until 14:00; making a piece takes around one–two hours. Choices include a ¥500 coaster, ¥800 photo frame, ¥1,200 house-shaped money box and ¥1,500 plant pot or trivet, ready to take home that day. Cafe and workshop reservations are accepted by telephone and enquiry form.

Buses to Asahigaoka and parking

Drive about seven minutes from Tajimi IC; parking is available. From Tajimi Station’s north exit, take a Sakuragaoka-bound bus for about fifteen minutes to Minoyaki Oroshi Danchi Mae, then walk about five minutes. A taxi from the station takes around ten minutes. Plan around Tuesday/alternate-Wednesday closures and the 14:00 lunch and workshop-arrival cutoff.

Combine sights, meals and travel

Combine Kids Land in Asahigaoka with food and tile crafts. Allow onward travel time when starting from southern station parking, and plan around the cafe’s Tuesday and alternate-Wednesday closures.
