横手駅東口市営駐車場は、駅の東側で買い物や交流施設を利用する際の駐車拠点です。よこてイースト駐車場を立体化し、平置きと立体を一緒に運営しています。無料時間と子供連れの延長制度があり、短い立ち寄りから一日単位の外出まで、駐車時間を決めて利用できます。

立体と平置き、雪の季節の違い
全293台のうち立体部分221台、平置部分72台です。立体は三層四段で、積雪期には最上階を使用できません。両方の部分が有料駐車場の対象となり、どちらも二時間まで無料です。入口と出口が別なので、立体部分へ進む際は場内の矢印に沿って走行します。予約はできず、冬は閉鎖される最上階を除いた区画を使います。
無料時間と一日単位の料金
料金は一時間100円、二十四時間まで1,000円を上限とし、二十四時間を超えると二十四時間ごとに再入場した扱いで計算します。ただし連続して停められるのは四十八時間までです。二時間以内の通常の立ち寄りは無料。入場時の駐車券を受け取り、出場時に提出して料金を精算します。長い外出では上限料金と連続駐車の期限を合わせて考えられます。
子供を同伴する場合の三時間無料
高校生以下の子供を同伴している利用者は、無料時間を三時間まで延長できます。Y2ぷらざの一階または二階受付で無料時間延長の処理を受ける方式です。車に子供が乗っているだけで自動延長される扱いではありません。一階受付では100円券十枚綴りを1,000円で販売し、この回数券は短時間利用向けで宿泊目的の利用は控える条件です。
車の寸法と駅東側の利用
利用できる車両は積載物や取付物を含み、長さ5m・幅2m・高さ2.1m・車両総重量2.5t以下です。普通自動車のほか大型・普通自動二輪車も対象です。駅東側のよこてイーストにあり、交流施設や駅周辺で過ごす時間に合わせて停められます。24時間・年中無休ですが、駐車区画や進行方向は標識に従い、出庫まで駐車券を保管します。

Yokote Station East Municipal Parking serves shopping and public facilities on the station’s east side. The former Yokote East lot now combines a multilevel structure with surface parking. A free period and an extension for visitors accompanying children support both brief stops and longer outings, provided the continuous-stay limit is observed.

Multilevel and surface sections in the snow season
Of the 293 spaces, 221 are in the three-level/four-deck structure and seventy-two are on the surface. The top deck is unavailable during the snow season. Both sections use the paid-parking system and both provide two hours free. The multilevel entrance and exit are separate, so follow the marked circulation. Reservations are unavailable, and winter use excludes the closed top deck.
The free period and daily charging limit
The rate is ¥100 per hour, capped at ¥1,000 within twenty-four hours. After that, charging treats each twenty-four-hour period as a new entry. Continuous parking is nevertheless limited to forty-eight hours. Ordinary visits of up to two hours are free. Take the parking ticket on entry and submit it for payment on departure, considering both the charging cap and the maximum permitted stay for longer outings.
Three free hours when accompanying children
Visitors accompanying a child of high-school age or younger can extend the free period to three hours by having the ticket validated at the first- or second-floor Y2 Plaza reception. The extension is not automatic merely because a child is present. The first-floor desk also sells ten ¥100 tickets for ¥1,000; these are intended for short visits, with overnight-purpose use discouraged.
Vehicle dimensions and east-side visits
Including loads and attachments, vehicles must be no longer than five metres, no wider than two metres, no higher than 2.1 metres and no heavier than 2.5 tonnes gross. Eligible categories include ordinary cars and standard/large motorcycles. Located in Yokote East, it serves station-area and community-facility visits. Normal operation is twenty-four hours year-round; follow space and direction signs and retain the ticket until departure.
