米子駅南駐車場は、駅南広場に整備された市営の平面駐車場です。南北自由通路「がいなロード」と組み合わせ、駅の南側から列車や駅周辺施設へ向かえます。24時間利用できますが、車幅や重さ、ロック板の条件があるため、利用する車を選んで入庫します。

入場から30分以内は無料です。8～18時は30分100円、昼間の最大1,000円。18～翌8時は1時間100円、夜間の最大500円で、入場から24時間ごとの上限は1,500円です。30分以内に出る利用と、昼夜をまたいで車を置く利用では料金の組み立てが異なります。日付が変わる時刻ではなく、入場を起点とする24時間の上限なので、列車の往復時刻から駐車期間を考えられます。
フラップ式29区画と車の制限
全29区画のうち1区画が身体障がい者用です。駐車できる車は幅1.9メートル、長さ5.4メートル、重さ2トンまで。区画のロック板を使うフラップ式で、無人運営です。出庫時にロック板が上がっている場合は、無料時間内の利用でも精算機で必ず精算する案内です。停めた区画番号を確認し、支払後にロック板が下がった状態で車を動かします。
駅南広場からがいなロードへ
所在地は目久美町の米子駅南広場です。駅の北側にある地下駐車場へ入る経路とは異なり、南側の広場から利用します。がいなロードは駅の南北をつなぎ、駅利用やシャミネのある北側へ向かう動線になります。地下駐車場と異なり深夜も24時間利用できるため、夜遅い帰着や早朝の出発にも対応します。送迎用のロータリーやバスの区域とは分けて、一般車駐車区画を利用します。
共通券の購入先と夜間定額券
回数券などは米子駅前地下駐車場管理事務所で購入し、地下・万能町・駅南の3駐車場で共通利用できます。100円券11枚1,000円、3,300円分プリペイド3,000円などがあります。夜間定額券は15時～翌10時の1回に使い、10枚5,500円、超過は別精算です。管理事務所の案内時間は5～24時で、無人の駅南駐車場に終日窓口があるわけではありません。繰り返しの駅利用にも選べます。

Yonago Station South Parking is a municipal surface car park in the south plaza. The Gaina Road north–south passage connects the south side with the station and its facilities. Parking is available twenty-four hours, subject to vehicle width, weight and the flap-barrier system.

Short visits and daytime/night rates
A stay ending within thirty minutes of entry is free. From 08:00 to 18:00, charging is ¥100 per thirty minutes, capped at ¥1,000. From 18:00 to 08:00, it is ¥100 per hour, capped at ¥500. Each 24 hours from entry is capped at ¥1,500. A short visit and a stay spanning day and night have different charging patterns. The twenty-four-hour cap is tied to entry rather than the calendar date, so plan around the train’s outward and return times.
Flap barriers and vehicle dimensions
The twenty-nine spaces include one for disabled visitors. Vehicles must be no more than 1.9 metres wide, 5.4 metres long and two tonnes in weight. This is an unmanned flap-barrier car park. If the locking plate is raised when leaving, the operator instructs drivers to complete the payment-machine procedure even for a stay within the free period. Check the bay number and move the vehicle only after settlement has lowered the plate.
From the south plaza to Gaina Road
The car park is in the south plaza in Megumicho, approached from the south rather than through the station’s northern underground-car-park entrance. Gaina Road connects the two sides and provides a route towards the station and Shamine. Unlike the underground facility, parking operates throughout the night, accommodating late returns or early departures. Use the ordinary-car bays separately from the drop-off roundabout and bus areas.
Shared tickets and overnight passes
Ticket packs are purchased from the Station Underground Parking office and can be used at the underground, Mannocho and station-south facilities. Options include eleven ¥100 tickets for ¥1,000 or ¥3,300 of prepaid value for ¥3,000. Overnight tickets cover one 15:00–10:00 stay; ten cost ¥5,500, with extra time charged separately. The management office is listed for 05:00–midnight; the unmanned south car park does not have its own round-the-clock counter. Shared tickets may suit repeated station visits.
