ひるがの分水嶺公園｜太平洋と日本海へ分かれる水流、散策と駐車場

ひるがの分水嶺公園は、大日ヶ岳から流れる水が、別々の海へ向かう二つの川に分かれる場所です。小さな流れを近くで眺められ、ひるがの高原の移動途中に短い散策を加えられます。大きな河川の上流を、水が分かれる地点から感じられる公園です。

基本情報

Hirugano Watershed Park marks the place where water from Mount Dainichi divides into rivers flowing toward different seas. The small streams can be observed close up, making a short walking stop during a visit to the Hirugano Highland. The park gives a tangible view of the headwaters of much larger rivers.

二つの海へ向かう分水嶺を見る

大日ヶ岳から流れる水は、ここで長良川と庄川へ分かれます。長良川側は太平洋へ、庄川側は日本海へ。標高約875mの高原にある公園で、分かれる水の動きを近くから見ることができます。国道156号に面し、高原を移動する途中にも立ち寄れます。

春の山野草、新緑と秋の紅葉

春にはカタクリやミズバショウ、梅雨の頃にはササユリなどの山野草が見られる場所です。新緑や紅葉とともに水辺を歩けます。近くには喫茶店、アイスクリーム店、土産店もあり、水流を眺める散策に高原での休憩を組み合わせられます。

無料で立ち寄る公園の利用案内

入園料はなく、決まった営業時間や定休日も設定されていません。水の分かれる場所や周辺の自然を眺めて歩く、公園としての利用です。足元と水辺を見ながら散策し、季節や現地の天候に合わせて立ち寄れます。

駐車10台と高速道路からのアクセス

駐車場は10台分です。バスは、ひるがの湿原植物園の東側に隣接するスペースを利用する案内です。東海北陸道の高鷲ICから車約15分、ひるがの高原スマートICから約6分。スマートICはETC専用なので、利用する車のETC対応を合わせて計画します。

郡上市内で組み合わせる訪問先

分水嶺公園とグリーンガーデンをひるがので組み合わせ、白鳥方面へ移動して鶏匠庵白鳥荘の食事や白尾の道の駅での休憩を加えられます。公園は駐車約10台、白尾は普通車46台です。鶏匠庵の平日夕食は完全予約制なので、山間の移動と食事の時刻を合わせます。

See the watershed between two seas

Water descending from Mount Dainichi divides here between the Nagara and Sho rivers. One branch ultimately reaches the Pacific Ocean and the other the Sea of Japan. At around 875 metres above sea level, the park lets visitors observe the split close up. It stands beside Route 156 and can be included in a highland journey.

Spring plants, fresh greenery and autumn colours

Spring plants include dogtooth violets and Asian skunk cabbage, followed by sasayuri lilies around the rainy season. Walk beside the water among fresh leaves or autumn colours. Nearby cafes, ice-cream shops and souvenir stores allow a refreshment stop to accompany the walk.

A free walking stop in the highlands

There is no admission charge and no fixed opening hours or regular closing day. This is a park visit to observe the dividing streams and surrounding nature. Watch the footing and water’s edge while walking, and plan the stop around the season and local weather.

Ten parking spaces and access from the expressway

The park has ten parking spaces. Buses are directed to the space beside the east side of Hirugano Wetland Botanical Garden. Allow around fifteen minutes by car from Takasu IC or six minutes from Hirugano Kogen Smart IC on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway. The smart interchange requires ETC, so the vehicle must be equipped for it.

Other stops to combine within Gujo

Combine Watershed Park and Green Garden in Hirugano, then travel towards Shirotori for Keishouan Shirotori-so and a break at Shirao roadside station. The park has about ten parking spaces and Shirao forty-six car spaces. Weekday dinner at Keishouan requires a reservation, so allow for travel between the areas.
