虎渓山永保寺｜国宝の堂と名勝庭園、7～17時の入山と参拝者駐車場

永保寺は、夢窓疎石が1313年に開創した禅寺で、現在も修行道場を併設しています。池、反り橋、岩山、堂の組み合わせを眺めながら、静かな境内を歩いて巡れます。庭園の一部には通常非公開の区域があります。

Founded by Muso Soseki in 1313, Eihoji remains a Zen temple with an active monastic training centre. Walk quietly through a setting of pond, arched bridge, rocky slopes and historic halls. Part of the garden is normally closed to visitors.

国宝の観音堂・開山堂と名勝庭園

観音堂は1314年に建立された禅宗建築で、開山堂とともに国宝に指定されています。臥龍池には屋形のある無際橋が架かり、岩山や梵音の滝が庭園の景観を形作ります。庭園は国の名勝で、自然の地形を生かした造りを池畔から眺められます。

入山7～17時、団体は7日前までの申請

入山可能時間は7～17時、御朱印の受付は9～16時です。10名以上の団体拝観は7日前までの申請が必要で、班や号車を分ける場合も同一団体の総人数で申し込みます。バスで来山する団体は台数も申告し、参拝者用の駐車枠に合わせて利用します。

修行期間の拝観と撮影

修行僧を撮影したり、声を掛けたりしないようにして巡ります。一般の方による撮影代の授受のない個人撮影は申請不要で、業者による記念撮影などは7日前までの申請が必要です。

踏切手前の駐車場と虎渓山バス停

多治見ICから約2km・車5～7分です。カーナビは「永保寺案内所・虎渓山町5-11」を目的地にし、踏切手前の参拝者専用駐車場を利用します。身体的な事情による境内駐車は事前連絡と都度の許可証が必要です。多治見駅北口から徒歩約40～50分、東鉄バス小名田線の虎渓山バス停からは徒歩約5分です。

周辺の観光・食事と移動を組み合わせる

虎渓山の参拝と青木町のうなぎ料理、駅前での宿泊を組み合わせられます。くれたけインには専用・提携駐車場がないため、車で泊まる日は一般駐車場の料金とホテルまでの移動を見込みます。

National Treasure halls and a scenic garden

Built in 1314, Kannon-do is a National Treasure alongside Kaisan-do. The roofed Musai Bridge crosses Garyo Pond, while rocky slopes and Bonon Falls shape the garden. This nationally designated scenic site uses the natural terrain, with views from around the pond.

Opening hours and advance group applications

The grounds are open 7:00–17:00, with goshuin reception 9:00–16:00. Groups of ten or more must apply seven days ahead, counting the full group even if split into smaller parties or coaches. Coach groups must also declare vehicle numbers and use the designated visitor spaces.

Visiting during training periods and photography

Do not photograph or interrupt trainees. Private photography without payment does not require an application, while professional commemorative photography requires one at least seven days ahead.

Visitor parking before the crossing and Kokeizan bus stop

The temple is about 2 km or five–seven minutes from Tajimi IC. Set navigation to the Eihoji visitor information office at 5-11 Kokeizan-cho and use the visitor lot before the railway crossing. On-site parking for physical-access needs requires advance contact and a permit for each visit. Walk about forty–fifty minutes from Tajimi Station’s north exit, or five minutes from Kokeizan stop on the Totetsu Onada bus line.

Combine sights, meals and travel

Combine a Kokeizan temple visit, eel in Aoki-machi and a station-area stay. Kuretake Inn has no dedicated or partner parking, so allow for general parking charges and the journey to the hotel.
