鳥取砂丘 砂の美術館｜スペインを巡る砂像展示

砂と水で作る大きな砂像を展示。第17期「スペイン」は2026年4月24日～2027年1月3日、会期中無休。通常9～18時、最終入館17時30分。一般800円、小・中・高校生400円。

砂と水の彫刻と展示会期

砂像は水で固めた砂を彫って作られ、展示終了後は砂へ戻されます。スペイン展示は2027年1月3日までで、会期中は無休です。次回のシルクロード展示は2027年4月23日～2028年1月3日に予定されています。

観覧料と入場ゲート

一般800円、小・中・高校生400円、小学生未満無料で、税込です。20人以上の団体料金は600円・300円。現金で払う場合はメインゲートへ向かってください。展望駐車場側のサブゲートはキャッシュレス等の対応で、平日10～15時、土日祝9～16時です。イベント等により時間が変更になる場合があります。

秋のプロジェクションマッピング

2026年11月21日～12月6日はプロジェクションマッピングを開催し、追加料金はなく入館料のみで観覧できます。上演は16時から30分ごと、1回約8分です。期間中の日～木は9～19時30分・最終入館19時、金・土と11月22日（日）は9～20時・最終入館19時30分。映像の最終上演はそれぞれ19時・19時30分です。

交通・駐車場・館内設備

鳥取駅からは美術館の路線バス目安約21分に、砂の美術館前から徒歩1分を加えます。美術館の駐車は無料ですが予約できず、有料の周辺駐車場にも入館による駐車券発行・割引はありません。展望側からメインゲートへは傾斜路の徒歩目安5分です。展示室は作品保護のため外気に近い温度です。館内飲食は原則不可ですが、蓋付きの水筒・ペットボトルには例外があります。

Sand-and-water sculpture and exhibition dates

Sand sculptures are carved from sand compacted with water and returned to sand after the exhibition. The Spain exhibition runs daily through January 3, 2027. The next Silk Road exhibition is scheduled for April 23, 2027–January 3, 2028.

Admission and entrance gates

Admission is ¥800 for adults and ¥400 for elementary through high-school pupils; preschoolers enter free, with tax included. Groups of at least 20 pay ¥600/¥300. Cash users should use the main gate. The observation-parking-side sub-gate accepts cashless methods and operates 10:00–15:00 weekdays or 09:00–16:00 weekends/holidays. Events may affect gate hours.

Autumn projection mapping

The projection event runs November 21–December 6, 2026 and is included in admission. Shows begin at 16:00 every 30 minutes and last about eight minutes. During the event, Sunday–Thursday opening is 09:00–19:30, last entry 19:00; Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday November 22 use 09:00–20:00, last entry 19:30. Final shows start at 19:00 or 19:30 respectively.

Transport, parking and gallery facilities

The museum lists about 21 minutes by bus from Tottori Station, plus a one-minute walk from Sand Museum-mae. Museum parking is free and cannot be reserved, with no validation or discount for paid nearby parking. Allow a sloping five-minute walk from observation-side parking to the main gate. Galleries remain near outdoor temperatures for sculpture protection. Indoor eating and drinking are normally prohibited, with an exception for flasks and PET bottles with caps.
