四万十川学遊館あきついお｜魚とトンボから川の自然を知る

四万十川学遊館あきついおは、トンボの展示と魚の水槽を通して水辺の生き物を学べる施設です。屋外のトンボ自然公園と合わせて、四万十の自然に親しめます。

Akitsuio introduces aquatic life through dragonfly displays and fish tanks. Combine the indoor museum with the surrounding Dragonfly Nature Park to explore Shimanto’s natural environment.

とんぼ館とさかな館

とんぼ館では標本や生態写真、見分け方の展示を楽しめます。さかな館には四万十川を中心とした淡水・汽水の魚が並び、アカメやピラルクも見られます。

料金と休館日

中高生440円、4歳～小学生330円で、入館料は税込です。月曜が祝日のときは翌日休館です。春休み・ゴールデンウィーク・夏休み・年末年始は休まず開館します。身体障害者手帳・精神障害者保健福祉手帳・療育手帳を持つ本人と同行の介護者1名は、入館料が半額です。

自然公園の観察道

屋外の自然公園は無料で入園でき、季節の花や水辺の生き物を観察できます。自然保護区のため、一般の来園者による動植物の採集やキャッチ＆リリースは禁止です。主催者が保護のルールを設けた体験イベントでは、生き物を捕まえるプログラムが行われます。

車と鉄道で訪れる

中村駅からタクシーで約10分、具同駅から徒歩約20分。四万十町中央ICからは国道56号線などを経由して約1時間です。館内見学と公園散策を合わせて予定を組めます。

Dragonfly and fish exhibits

The dragonfly section has specimens, ecological photographs and identification displays. The aquarium features freshwater and brackish-water fish, especially those of the Shimanto River, including akame and arapaima.

Admission and closing days

Secondary school students pay ¥440 and children aged four through primary school ¥330; admission prices include tax. If Monday is a public holiday, closure moves to the following day. The museum opens throughout spring holidays, Golden Week, summer holidays and the year-end/New Year period. Holders of a physical disability certificate, mental disability health and welfare certificate or rehabilitation certificate, together with one accompanying carer, receive half-price admission.

Nature park observation paths

The outdoor park is free to enter, with seasonal flowers and aquatic wildlife along its paths. Visitors may not collect plants or animals in the reserve, including catch-and-release activities. Organised experience events can include catching wildlife under conservation rules set by the organisers.

Arriving by car or train

Allow about ten minutes by taxi from Nakamura Station or 20 minutes on foot from Gudo Station. The drive from Shimantocho-chuo IC takes about an hour via Route 56 and local roads. Plan time for both indoor displays and an outdoor walk.
