A clay-hill-inspired building and tile displays
Designed by Terunobu Fujimori, the building features an earthen wall inspired by clay extraction sites. The first floor has reception, workshops and a shop; the second introduces the tile industry, while the third and fourth contain paid galleries. Visitors using only the lower floors must report to reception, and second-floor-only visits require an application.
Exhibition admission and tile-craft sessions
Admission including the special exhibition is ¥500, or ¥400 for groups of twenty or more; high-school pupils and younger visitors enter free with student identification. Ask reception for the permanent-display-only option at ¥310. Tile crafts cost ¥800 including tax and take about thirty–sixty minutes. Reception is first-come, first-served 9:00–15:30 on opening days, without reservations. Outside materials and tools are not permitted, and one accompanying person is allowed per participant.
An exhibition through December and weekday trivet making
Art Tiles Part I: Beyond the Shimmer runs June 2–December 27, 2026 on the third floor. Weekday round-trivet making is for primary-school pupils and older visitors, costs ¥1,200 including tax and takes about two hours, with reception 9:00–15:00. It does not run on weekends, holidays, the Obon period or closing days and requires no reservation. Monday is the normal closing day, and the museum closes when a weather warning is issued.
Kasahara-line buses and shared parking

Car parking is shared with the community centre and gymnasium; coaches and minibuses require advance applications for the normally two available spaces.
