豊橋市美術博物館｜郷土の美術と歴史、企画展料金と駐車場

豊橋市美術博物館は、豊橋公園の中で地域にゆかりのある美術作品、歴史・考古・民俗資料などを紹介する施設です。無料の通史展示で豊橋の歩みをたどり、有料企画展では時期ごとのテーマを楽しめます。吉田城址の散策と組み合わせやすく、市電の停留所から歩いて訪ねられます。

Toyohashi City Museum of Art and History presents regional artworks and historical, archaeological and folk materials within Toyohashi Park. Free chronological displays trace the city’s past, while paid exhibitions explore changing themes. It combines readily with a walk around Yoshida Castle and is accessible from the city tram.

館では地域の美術・歴史・陶磁器・考古・民俗資料を扱い、通史展示「とよはしの歴史」では指定文化財、複製、ジオラマなどを通して時代順に地域の歩みを紹介します。コレクション展示は展示替えや企画展により見られない期間があります。無料の展示と有料企画展を組み合わせ、関心のあるテーマを中心に回れます。

2026年秋はかがくいひろしの原画展

2026年10月17日～11月15日は「かがくいひろしの世界展」を開催し、絵本全16作品の原画、アイデアノート、映像記録、未完のラフなどを紹介します。料金は一般・大学生1200円、小中高校生600円。20人以上の団体は1000円・500円です。入場は16時30分まで。一般ギャラリーと通常のコレクション展示は無料で、企画展の料金とは別の区分です。

開館時間と家族・車いす向け設備

開館は9時～17時。通常は月曜と12月29日～1月3日が休館で、有料企画展開催中に月曜が祝日となる場合は開館し、翌火曜を休館にします。ベビーカー3台、車いす6台を無料で貸し出し、1階には授乳室やキッズスペース、おむつ替えベッドを備えた多目的トイレがあります。展示室での撮影は許可された作品・資料に限られます。

市電の豊橋公園前から北へ約250m

豊橋駅東口から市電に乗り、「豊橋公園前」下車、北へ約250mです。通常の美術博物館駐車場は約70台、1回500円で、館を利用する人は玄関の機械で駐車券を処理すると入庫後3時間まで無料になります。ただし2026年10月29日～11月1日は催事のため駐車場を利用できません。車いす利用者の敷地内乗入れは通常の駐車場と別の案内があります。

豊橋市で合わせて訪ねたい施設

鑑賞後の駅前宿泊にはホテルアークリッシュ豊橋、魚町での土産選びにはヤマサちくわ本店を組み合わせられます。駅前の用事で車を別に停める場合は豊橋えきちか駐車場が候補です。館の駐車制限日には、美術館までの市電や徒歩の移動も含めて行程を組めます。

Regional history and art within the park

The museum covers regional art, history, ceramics, archaeology and folk culture. Its chronological Toyohashi history display uses designated cultural properties, replicas and dioramas to trace the area’s past. Collection rooms can be unavailable during display changes or special exhibitions. Visitors can combine free rooms with the current paid exhibition according to their interests.

Hiroshi Kagakui’s picture-book art in autumn 2026

The Hiroshi Kagakui exhibition runs October 17–November 15, 2026, presenting original art from all sixteen picture books, idea notebooks, filmed records and unfinished sketches. Admission costs ¥1,200 for general visitors and university students, or ¥600 for elementary, junior-high and high-school pupils. Groups of at least twenty pay ¥1,000 or ¥500 respectively. Last entry is 16:30. General galleries and regular collection displays remain a separate, free category.

Hours and facilities for families and wheelchair users

Hours are 9:00–17:00. Normal closures are Mondays and December 29–January 3; during paid exhibitions, a public-holiday Monday opens and the following Tuesday closes. Three strollers and six wheelchairs are available to borrow free. The ground floor has a nursing room, children’s space and multipurpose toilet with a changing bed. Photography in galleries is limited to works and materials specifically permitted.

Around 250 metres north of Toyohashi-koen-mae

Take the tram from Toyohashi Station’s east exit to Toyohashi-koen-mae and walk around 250 metres north. The museum car park normally holds about seventy vehicles and costs ¥500 per visit; museum users can validate their tickets at the entrance machine for up to three hours free from entry. It is unavailable October 29–November 1, 2026, because of an event. Separate guidance covers wheelchair users driving onto the museum grounds.

Other places to visit in Toyohashi

Combine the gallery visit with a station-area stay at Hotel Arc Riche Toyohashi or food gifts in Uomachi at Yamasa Chikuwa Honten. Toyohashi Ekichika Parking is an option for separate station-area parking. On museum parking-restriction dates, allow for a tram journey or walk to the gallery.
