友泉亭公園｜池を望む座敷と抹茶を楽しむ日本庭園

友泉亭公園は、城南区で池の周りを歩き、座敷から庭を眺められる日本庭園です。福岡藩主の別荘の歴史を持ち、茶室や季節の菓子付きの抹茶も楽しめます。庭を一周する散策と、建物で座って過ごす時間を合わせると、街中の観光に静かな間を作れます。

池の周りと座敷で異なる眺めを楽しむ

友泉亭は、福岡藩第6代藩主・黒田継高の別荘に由来する庭園です。池を中心に回遊する構成で、木々や水面を近くから眺める道と、建物から景色を切り取る眺めを楽しめます。歩くだけで終えずに座敷でも足を休めると、池の向こう側や季節の葉の色を、違う高さと角度で見比べられます。

季節の菓子と抹茶、貸室の利用

抹茶サービスは季節の菓子付きで1服700円です。庭を眺めながら一服でき、夏季には冷抹茶の用意もあります。大広間や和室、章山庵、如水庵は、茶会や集まり等のための有料施設として別に借りる仕組みです。一般の入園と飲み物を楽しむ時間、貸室を予約して過ごす時間を目的に応じて選べます。

入園料と証明書、月曜の休園

大人200円、小中学生100円、未就学児無料で、30名以上は160円・80円です。障害者と介護者、福岡市・北九州市・熊本市・鹿児島市在住65歳以上には証明書による無料制度があります。通常9～17時、月曜が祝日の場合は翌日が休園です。12月29日～1月1日は休園し、1月2・3日、5月4・5日は開園します。補助犬同伴と車いすでの利用にも対応します。

友泉亭停留所と20台の駐車場

西鉄バス12番の友泉亭停留所から徒歩約5分、友泉中学校から約10分です。普通車は20台、1回1日以内300円で、中型車1,000円、大型車2,000円は事前連絡が必要です。障害者手帳を持つ方が運転または同乗する車は駐車料免除の対象です。車では樋井川沿いから入り、建物と庭を巡る時間を開園時間内に確保できます。

View the pond from paths and traditional rooms

Yusentei originated as a villa associated with Kuroda Tsugutaka, the sixth lord of the Fukuoka domain. Paths circle the pond, offering close views of trees and water, while the building frames the garden from indoors. Add seated time in the traditional rooms to compare foliage and the far side of the pond from a different height and angle.

Matcha, seasonal sweets and reserved tea rooms

Matcha costs ¥700 with seasonal sweets, providing time to enjoy the garden while seated; iced matcha is offered in summer. The main hall, Japanese room, Shozanan and Josuian can also be hired separately for tea gatherings and other occasions. Ordinary garden entry, a drink and reserved room use have different arrangements to suit different visits.

Admission, certificates and Monday closure

Adults pay ¥200 and elementary/junior-high pupils ¥100, with preschoolers free; thirty-person group rates are ¥160/¥80. Eligible visitors with disabilities and carers, and residents aged sixty-five or over in Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Kumamoto or Kagoshima, receive free entry with evidence. Normal opening is 09:00–17:00; Monday closure shifts after a holiday. December 29–January 1 is closed; January 2–3 and May 4–5 remain open. Assistance dogs and wheelchair use are accommodated.

Yusentei bus stop and twenty parking spaces

Walk about five minutes from the Yusentei stop on Nishitetsu route twelve, or ten from Yusen Chugakko. Twenty standard-car spaces cost ¥300 per visit within one day. Medium vehicles cost ¥1,000 and large ones ¥2,000, requiring prior contact. Parking is waived when a specified disability-certificate holder drives or accompanies the vehicle. Road access follows the Hii River, leaving the garden visit within opening hours.
