夕やけ小やけふれあいの里は、童謡「夕焼小焼」の作詞者・中村雨紅の故郷で、里山の自然と人の営みに触れる施設です。展示を見て川沿いを歩くほか、動物とのふれあい、予約制の野外活動など、過ごし方を選べます。入場料に含まれる見学と別料金の体験を組み合わせ、季節の閉園時刻に合わせて巡れます。

Yuyake Koyake Fureai no Sato lies in the home area of Nakamura Uko, lyricist of Yuyake Koyake. Displays and streamside walks can be combined with animal encounters or reserved outdoor activities. 童謡の資料と里山の自然
上恩方町出身の中村雨紅を紹介する展示ホールがあり、童謡「夕焼小焼」と作者の歩みをたどれます。園内の北浅川や季節の草木も見どころで、春の花、夏の清流、秋の紅葉、冬の里山と異なる風景を楽しめます。自然保護のため動植物の採取や虫あみ・虫かご等の持込みは禁止です。北浅川の釣りは別条件で、中学生以上は恩方漁協の遊漁証が必要です。歩きながら観察し、展示と屋外の両方から地域を知る訪問にできます。
動物体験の時間と別料金
ふれあい牧場ではポニー、ウサギ、モルモットなどを見られます。ふれあいは毎日9時30分～12時、13～15時30分で途中休憩があり、体験自体は無料、えさ1カップ100円。ポニー乗馬は3～11月の土日祝、3歳～小学3年生が対象で1周300円、9時30分～11時45分と13時15分～15時30分です。冬季と天候・馬場の状態により休みがあります。
季節の料金と食事・宿泊施設の休止予定
入場は大人200円、65歳以上100円、中学生以下100円、4歳未満無料。中学生以下は土曜と3月3日・5月5日、65歳以上は敬老の日も無料です。通常の閉園は3～10月16時30分、11～2月16時で、指定の夏季日程等は延長します。老朽化により、いろりばたとおおるりの家は2027年4月1日から当面営業休止予定です。他の施設は通常どおり利用できます。
高尾からの交通と野外活動の手配
高尾駅北口から陣馬高原下行きバス約30分で「夕焼小焼」下車。車は八王子西ICから川原宿経由の陣馬街道約10分、駐車200台無料です。BBQとキャンプの予約は6か月前の同日10時から、初日の10～10時30分の申込みは抽選です。2026年10月13日にBBQ新規受付は再開済み。クマ対策として野外利用者へ熊鈴等の貸出しや注意喚起を実施しています。
八王子市内で組み合わせる訪問先
夕やけ小やけの里山散策とおおるりの家は、日中の見学と宿泊の食事・到着時刻を合わせて組めます。ここから高尾山口や南浅川の囲炉裏料理へ向かうときは、恩方から市内を移動する時間を取り、夜の予約に合わせて出発できます。食事処と宿の2027年4月からの休止予定も含め、滞在する時期に合う宿と夕食を選べます。
Songwriter displays and the rural landscape
The Nakamura Uko hall introduces the locally born lyricist and his connection with Yuyake Koyake. The Kita-Asakawa stream and seasonal plants add spring flowers, summer water, autumn leaves and a winter rural landscape. Collecting plants or animals and bringing insect nets or cages are prohibited. Fishing in the Kita-Asakawa follows separate rules, with an Ongata Fishery Cooperative permit required from junior-high school and above. Observe nature on foot and connect it with the area’s indoor displays.
Animal activities and separate charges
The small farm has ponies, rabbits and guinea pigs. Daily encounter sessions run 9:30–12:00 and 13:00–15:30 with breaks; the encounter itself is free and feed costs ¥100/cup. Pony rides operate weekends/holidays March–November for children aged 3 through primary-school year 3, ¥300/lap, 9:30–11:45 and 13:15–15:30. Winter and unsuitable weather or ground conditions suspend riding.
Admission and the planned restaurant/lodging suspension
Entry is ¥200 adults, ¥100 visitors 65+, ¥100 junior-high pupils and younger children, and free under 4. Children through junior high enter free Saturdays/March 3/May 5;65+ visitors also enter free on Respect-for-the-Aged Day. Normal closing is 16:30 March–October and 16:00 November–February, extended on specified summer dates. Ageing buildings lead to a planned indefinite suspension of Iroribata and Ooruri no Ie from April 1, 2027. Other facilities remain available.
Access from Takao and arranging outdoor activities
Take a Jinba-Kogenshita-bound bus from Takao’s north exit for about thirty minutes to Yuyake-Koyake. Driving via Kawarajuku and Jinba Road takes about ten minutes from Hachioji-nishi IC;200 parking spaces are free. BBQ/camp bookings open 10:00 on the same date six months earlier, with first-day 10:00–10:30 applications drawn by lottery. New BBQ reservations resumed October 13, 2026. Bear precautions include warnings and loans of bells or other equipment for outdoor users.
Other stops to combine within Hachioji
Combine Yuyake Koyake’s rural walks and Ooruri-no-Ie around daytime visits, accommodation arrival and meals. Continuing from Ongata to Takaosanguchi or Minamiasakawa irori dining requires travel across the city; leave time to reach an evening reservation. The planned April2027 pause of the park restaurant and inn also affects accommodation and dinner choices for that season.
