Hotel Sekisuien stands on the hillside above the castle town. Choose a town-facing terrace or mountain-facing room, then combine a castle walk with local food. Its sloping approach makes a car or reserved shuttle useful.

客室は21室で、街側スタンダードは32～35㎡・テラス付き、山側は30～35㎡です。どちらも幅120cmのベッド2台を備え、ソファーベッド利用で3名まで。47～48㎡のデラックスと48㎡の露天風呂付きは定員4名、56㎡のエグゼクティブは定員2名です。全室にバス・洗浄トイレとWi-Fiがあり、館内は禁煙です。

郡上の食材を使う夕食と和朝食

夕食は18時または19時開始で、郡上の米・野菜、川魚や飛騨牛などを使う季節の和食です。朝食には朴葉みそや明宝ハムを取り入れた和食御膳を用意します。追加料理は4日前までの注文で、飛騨牛サーロイン100gは税込5,500円、鶏ちゃん焼きは1,100円など。季節と仕入れにより内容が変わります。

15時チェックイン、遅い到着は事前連絡

通常は15時チェックイン・10時チェックアウトです。18時を過ぎて到着する場合はホテルへ連絡します。シングル専用客室はありませんが、ツインの1名利用を選べます。宿泊前後の荷物預かりがあり、1階の売店は8～20時。喫茶「長良」は10～17時で、城から戻る際の休憩にも利用できます。

無料送迎は前日20時まで、城へ徒歩約10分

郡上八幡ICから車で約10分、郡上八幡城まではホテルから徒歩約10分です。城下町へは徒歩約15分で坂道があります。無料シャトルは郡上八幡駅・IC・城下町プラザとホテルを結び、前日20時までの予約が必要で、予約がなければ運行しません。無料屋外駐車場があり、冬は積雪がなくても路面凍結に備える運転装備が必要です。

郡上市内で組み合わせる訪問先

積翠園から徒歩約10分の郡上八幡城を訪ね、殿町で泉坂の食事を組み合わせられます。泉坂は昼と夕方からの二部営業で、火曜と第2水曜が休みです。宿泊者の車はホテルの無料駐車場を使い、市街での別の駐車には城下町プラザの昼夜料金を見込みます。

Five room types with different outlooks

The twenty-one rooms include 32–35 m² town-facing standards with terraces and 30–35 m² mountain-facing standards. Both have two 120 cm beds and sleep up to three using a sofa bed. Deluxe rooms of 47–48 m² and 48 m² open-air-bath rooms accommodate four; the 56 m² executive accommodates two. All have bathrooms, washlet toilets and Wi-Fi. The hotel is nonsmoking.

Local ingredients at dinner and a Japanese breakfast

Dinner starts at 18:00 or 19:00 and features seasonal Japanese food using ingredients such as local rice, vegetables, river fish and Hida beef. Japanese breakfast dishes include hoba miso and Meiho ham. Additional dishes require an order four days ahead; examples include 100 g Hida sirloin at ¥5,500 and keichan chicken at ¥1,100, tax included. Ingredients vary with season and supply.

Check in from 15:00 and report a late arrival

Normal check-in is 15:00 and checkout 10:00. Notify the hotel if arriving after 18:00. There are no dedicated single rooms, but twins can be booked for one person. Luggage storage is available before and after a stay. The first-floor shop opens 8:00–20:00 and Nagara cafe 10:00–17:00, useful for a break after the castle.

Reserve the shuttle by 20:00 the previous day

The hotel is about ten minutes by car from Gujo Hachiman IC and ten minutes on foot from the castle. The town is roughly a fifteen-minute walk down the hillside. A free shuttle connects the station, IC and Jokamachi Plaza; reserve by 20:00 the previous day, as it does not run without bookings. Outdoor parking is free. Prepare for icy winter roads even without visible snow.

Other stops to combine within Gujo

Visit Gujo Hachiman Castle, about ten minutes on foot from Sekisuien, then eat at Izumisaka in Tonomachi. Izumisaka has lunch and evening sessions and closes Tuesdays and second Wednesdays. Hotel guests use its free parking; separate town parking at Jokamachi Plaza follows day and night charges.
