4つの棟と客室風呂の違い

ピグマリオンは18室、本館16室、正運館6室、離れ産土亭15室で構成されています。ピグマリオンは各客室に源泉かけ流しの露天風呂、本館は全室に温泉の檜風呂を備えます。正運館にも庭園を望む檜風呂付きの客室があります。チェックインは15時、チェックアウトは10時で、プランに個別条件がある場合は予約内容に合わせます。

宿泊者用浴場と日帰り入浴

宿泊者用の「観音乃湯 ガラティア」には総檜の大浴場や露天風呂、サウナなどがあります。日帰り入浴は別施設の「観音プリンシプル」で、平日11時～16時・最終受付15時、土日祝11時～17時・最終受付16時。一般料金は平日大人1,300円・子ども700円、休前日と休日は1,500円・800円で、利用は約1時間です。

小型犬と泊まる産土亭の位置

小型犬と泊まれるのは、離れ産土亭の対応客室です。産土亭は本館から約200m離れており、食事や大浴場へ行くときには送迎があります。客室は檜風呂や展望風呂などのタイプがあり、棟と部屋の条件を選んで予約します。愛犬同伴で予約する場合は、この対応客室を選びます。

駅送迎と山道の大型車の制限

伊豆急下田駅から宿までは送迎バスで約20分です。駅発13時45分・15時・16時の便は事前予約が必要。駐車場はありますが、長さ7m以上のバスは宿へ直接入れず、県道15号沿いのバス乗換駐車場でマイクロバスに乗り換えます。市街地観光と組み合わせる際は、予約した迎えの便に間に合うよう駅へ戻ります。

下田市内で組み合わせる訪問先

奥下田の宿へ入る前に、開国博物館と駅近くのいし塚へ立ち寄れます。敷根公園は市街地から内陸にある別の散策・運動先です。駅で13時45分・15時・16時の予約した迎えに間に合うよう、見学・食事・移動に使う時間を取ります。

Four wings and different room baths

Pygmalion has eighteen rooms, Honkan sixteen, Seiunkan six and detached Ubusunatei fifteen. Every Pygmalion room has a flow-through open-air hot-spring bath, while all Honkan rooms have a cypress hot-spring bath. Seiunkan also offers rooms with garden-facing cypress baths. Check-in is at 15:00 and checkout at 10:00, subject to any individual conditions in the booked plan.

Overnight bathing facilities and day visits

The overnight guests’ Kannon-no-Yu Galatea area includes a large cypress bath, open-air baths and saunas. Day bathing uses the separate Kannon Principle facility, open weekdays 11:00–16:00 with last admission at 15:00, or weekends and public holidays 11:00–17:00 with last admission at 16:00. General rates are ¥1,300 for adults and ¥700 for children on weekdays, or ¥1,500 and ¥800 on holidays and their eves, for about one hour.

The Ubusunatei wing for stays with small dogs

Small dogs can stay in designated rooms in detached Ubusunatei, about two hundred metres from the main building. Transport is provided for meals and visits to the public baths. Room options include cypress baths and view baths, so select the required wing and room when booking. Dog accommodation is limited to the designated Ubusunatei rooms.

Station transfers and large-vehicle access

The station transfer from Izukyu-Shimoda takes around twenty minutes. Departures at 13:45, 15:00 and 16:00 require advance reservations. Parking is available, but buses seven metres or longer cannot drive directly to the inn; passengers transfer to a minibus at the bus interchange parking area beside Prefectural Route 15. When visiting central Shimoda first, return to the station in time for your reserved pickup.

Other stops to combine within Shimoda

Visit the museum and station-area Ishizuka before travelling inland to Kannon Onsen. Shikine Park is a separate inland stop for walking or sport. Allow time for sightseeing, lunch and travel back to the station for your reserved 13:45, 15:00 or 16:00 pickup.
