Sennenmatsu stands at Nagoma on Oshima, facing Kurushima Strait with hills behind it. All rooms look south across the sea and passing shipping. Its open-air bath uses heated seawater, while meals are shaped by the local fish available that day, creating a stay centred on the shoreline.

South-facing rooms beside the sea
Every room faces the sea to the south, following the changing light over Kurushima Strait through the day. Terrace twins accommodate two or three, Japanese rooms with unit bathrooms three to five, larger adjoining tatami rooms four to six, and smaller Japanese rooms three. Selected Western rooms feature Ozu washi paper and plaster artwork, with layouts chosen by party size and facilities.
A granite open-air seawater bath
Large blocks of Oshima granite form the open-air bath, filled with seawater drawn from the strait and heated. Views change from morning light to sunset and the lights of Imabari across the water. This is a seawater bath, distinct from both ordinary freshwater bathing and a natural hot spring. Bath towels, face towels, toothbrushes and washing products are supplied.
Daily fish and pot-cooked sea-bream rice
Live fish, Kurushima sea bream and grouper shape the cooking. Rather than fixing a monthly menu, the kitchen selects preparations according to the fish that morning. Pot-cooked sea-bream rice combines stock, whole bream and local fried tofu; horoku-yaki cooks fish in earthenware using its own moisture. Kaiseki dishes vary with the catch, so select the accommodation plan and budget together.
Directional interchanges on Oshima
From Imabari on Shikoku, leave at Oshima-minami Interchange for about ten minutes by car; from Honshu, use Oshima-kita for about twenty minutes. The fifty-space car park accommodates large coaches. Public transport approaches use Kameyama bus stop from Imabari or Oshima bus stop from Fukuyama and Onomichi. Check-in is at 15:00 and checkout at 10:00. Cash and cards are accepted, and locked bicycle storage is available.
Other stops to combine within Imabari
Imabari extends from its mainland centre across islands including Oshima, Hakatajima and Omishima. These suggestions include other parts of the city, so allow bridge or boat travel between islands. Oshima-minami Interchange serves arrivals from Shikoku and Oshima-kita those from Honshu. For ferry-served Ushima or car-restricted Umashima, coordinate sailings or reserved transfers with accommodation arrival times.
