Choose a tatami room by its facilities
All thirty-six rooms have tatami flooring and futon bedding. Options range from compact 4.5-tatami rooms to standard six-tatami rooms, garden-facing rooms and ten-tatami superior rooms. Some use shared bathrooms and toilets, while others have private facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Taller bedding and raised mattresses can be arranged when booking, helping guests choose a room that suits their needs.
Herbal baths and who may use them
Separate men's and women's herbal baths are available around the clock during a stay. There is no outdoor bath, and bath-only day visits are not accepted; day-use guests need a room-and-meal package. Tattoos, including temporary stickers, are not permitted in the shared baths. Guests with tattoos are directed to book a room with a private unit bathroom. Bathing after checkout is generally unavailable.
Meals and children's arrangements
Solo guests can choose room-only, breakfast or two-meal packages. Dinner is usually served in the Shinme dining room or a hall, with menus based on that day's ingredients. Elementary school children and older pay the adult rate. Preschool children stay free without meals or bedding; these extras carry separate charges. Planning parking and a late arrival
Check-in starts at 14:00 and checkout is at 11:00. Advise the inn when booking if arriving after 23:00; dinner guests arriving after 21:00 also need to make arrangements. The usual curfew is 1:00, with later access requiring advance notice. The two parking areas offer around twenty-five free spaces when available, without reservations. Sakata Station is about five minutes away by taxi, and the inn does not provide a shuttle.
