Wakamatsu Honten stands opposite the main entrance to Naritasan Shinshoji. Japanese rooms, kaiseki meals featuring eel and a handmade shojin breakfast reflect its temple-town setting. Views, private bathing facilities and step access vary by room. Regular closures, road restrictions and parking behind the inn are relevant when combining a stay with approach-road walks.

眺望と水回りを選ぶ和室
モダン和室とデラックス和室から成田山を望めます。デラックスはバス・トイレ付きで、モダンとレトロはトイレ付きです。レトロ和室は眺望指定ができません。デラックスからは寺を望めますが表参道は見えないため、祭りの見物を目的にする場合は眺望の違いも選ぶ基準です。全室禁煙・Wi-Fi対応。エレベーターはありますが、玄関や浴場、客室によって階段があります。
うなぎの会席と門前の精進朝食
夕食は秘伝のたれで焼くうなぎなどを含む季節の会席、朝は手作りの精進朝食を用意します。米は女将の実家が育てる成田産コシヒカリを使用。夕食開始は17時30分・18時・18時30分・19時、朝食は7時30分～8時30分で、到着時に希望を伺う方式です。デラックスは部屋食または別室、モダン・レトロは食事会場での提供です。
人工温泉と定期休館日
光明石を使う人工温泉は宿泊者専用で、24時間入浴できます。日帰り入浴はありません。定期メンテナンス等のため原則火曜15時から翌9時まで休館し、2026年10月は20・27日、11月は3・10・17・24日が予定です。12月には1・8・15～17・22日の休館予定があり、通常の曜日と異なる日程も含まれます。
裏手の駐車場と駅への送り
JR・京成成田駅から徒歩約15分。空港送迎はありませんが、チェックアウト後8～10時の成田駅への送りは前日までの予約で利用でき、1月や交通規制のあるイベント時は実施しません。宿の前は駅側からの一方通行で、駐車場は裏手徒歩約3～4分。
成田市内で組み合わせる訪問先
成田駅・成田山の市街地、空港周辺、下総や大栄の地域では移動する方面が異なります。以下は同じ市内の別方面も含む訪問先です。食事の注文締切と宿への到着時刻を合わせ、車や鉄道での移動時間を加えて組み合わせられます。関連する駐車場は各地域での立ち寄り用で、施設専用駐車場や宿泊者の駐車条件とは分けて選べます。
Choosing a room by view and facilities
Modern and deluxe Japanese rooms face Naritasan. Deluxe rooms have private baths and toilets; modern and retro rooms have toilets. Retro views cannot be specified. Deluxe rooms overlook the temple but not Omotesando, an important distinction for festival viewing. All rooms are non-smoking and have Wi-Fi. There is a lift, but steps remain at the entrance and baths, and some rooms require stairs.
Eel kaiseki and shojin breakfast
Seasonal kaiseki dinners include eel grilled with the house sauce; breakfast follows the shojin tradition. Rice is Narita-grown Koshihikari from the proprietress’s family. Dinner starts at 17:30, 18:00, 18:30 or 19:00; breakfast is between 07:30 and 08:30, with preferences arranged on arrival. Deluxe guests dine in their room or a separate room, while modern and retro guests use a dining room.
Mineral baths and regular closures
Komyoseki artificial mineral baths are reserved for overnight guests and can be used around the clock; day bathing is unavailable. Regular maintenance normally closes the inn from Tuesday 15:00 to Wednesday 09:00. Scheduled closures are October 20/27 and November 3/10/17/24 in 2026. December dates are 1/8/15–17/22, including exceptions to the usual weekday pattern.
Rear parking and station drop-offs
Walk about fifteen minutes from JR or Keisei Narita Station. Airport transfers are unavailable. After checkout, station drop-offs run 08:00–10:00 by reservation made the previous day, except in January and during events with traffic restrictions. The front road is one-way from the station; parking is three to four minutes behind the inn.
Other stops to combine within Narita
Central Narita and the temple, the airport area, Shimofusa and Taiei involve different directions of travel. These suggestions include other parts of the same city. Coordinate meal-order deadlines and accommodation arrival with the necessary driving or rail journeys. Related parking serves its own area and has conditions separate from a facility’s dedicated parking or guest parking at accommodation.
