旧旅籠の建物で食事を楽しむ

會津屋は、江戸後期の建物を使う関宿の食事処です。かつて旅籠山田屋と呼ばれ、関宿を代表する旅籠の一つでした。

現在は食事処として営業しており、歴史的な町並みの散策とあわせて利用できます。

山菜おこわと街道そば

代表料理は、かまどの強い火で蒸し上げる山菜おこわと、出汁にこだわった街道そばです。

14時30分以降は簡易メニュー

営業時間は11時～17時で、14時30分以降は簡易メニューで営業します。席数は45席で、座敷は24名まで利用できます。

定休日は月曜・火曜です。月曜日が祝日の場合は営業します。

関駅から徒歩約10分、駐車場4台

所在地は亀山市関町新所1771-1で、JR関駅から徒歩約10分、関ICから車で約5分と案内されています。関地蔵院前の旧東海道沿いに位置します。

Aizuya is a restaurant in the historic streets of Seki-juku on the Tokaido. It occupies a former inn and serves mountain vegetable okowa steamed in a traditional hearth and soba noodles in broth.

Dining in a former post-town inn

Aizuya is a restaurant in a late-Edo-period building in Seki-juku. Formerly known as Hatago Yamada-ya, it was one of the post town’s notable inns.

Today the building operates as a dining venue that can be paired with a walk through the historic streets.

Mountain vegetable okowa and kaido soba

Signature dishes include mountain vegetable okowa steamed over a strong hearth fire and kaido soba made with carefully prepared broth.

Listed hours are 11:00–17:00, with a simplified menu after 14:30. The restaurant has 45 seats, including tatami seating for up to 24.

Regular closing days are Monday and Tuesday. The restaurant is listed as open when Monday is a public holiday.

About ten minutes on foot from Seki Station

The address is 1771-1 Shinjo, Seki-cho. The restaurant is listed about a ten-minute walk from JR Seki Station and a five-minute drive from Seki IC, along the old Tokaido near Seki Jizo-in.

Four parking spaces are listed. The historic streets are also residential roads, so use designated parking and avoid stopping on the street or entering private property.

Combine sights, stays and dining in Kameyama

On a day enjoying soba or mountain-vegetable rice at Aizuya, combine a walk through Tokaido Seki-juku with a stay at Guest Hotel Seki Lodge. Seki Lodge generally accepts reservations for groups of 10 or more outside long holidays and holiday periods, and directs smaller parties to nearby hotels. When driving to Seki-juku, park at Seki-juku Tourist Parking and continue on foot through the town.
