Cabbage and a distinctive griddle method
Founded in 1957 and a member of the Joshu Ota Yakisoba association, the shop uses cabbage as the only main topping. Its original iron griddle supports a steam-cooking method retained from the early years. A Worcestershire-based house sauce gives the noodles their dark colour. The combination focuses on noodles, sauce and cabbage rather than meat or seafood toppings. The other speciality is koji-based manju buns finished with a sweet homemade miso glaze.
Dine-in portion sizes and prices
Dine-in yakisoba costs ¥250 small, ¥375 medium, ¥500 large, ¥625 extra large or ¥750 jumbo. The shop describes medium as one serving and jumbo as two. Larger choices include double at ¥1,000, triple at ¥1,500 and the five-serving Toku-ni-Na-wa-Nai at ¥1,875. Limited-quantity grilled manju costs ¥200 per skewer; miso oden is ¥160, tokoroten jelly noodles ¥150 and wakame soup ¥150. Choose the noodle size alongside other food and party size.
Takeaway orders and grilled buns
Takeaway has a separate price list: small yakisoba ¥245, medium ¥365, large ¥490, extra large ¥610 and jumbo ¥735. Grilled manju is ¥195 per skewer, but takeaway packs start with two at ¥390 and extend to fifteen at ¥2,925, unlike single-skewer dine-in orders. Telephone takeaway orders are accepted, but tables cannot be reserved. Limited staffing can mean longer waits around weekend and holiday lunchtimes; the shop suggests around 13:00 onwards for dine-in visits.
Cash payment and arrival
Open 11:00–17:00 without a break, closed Tuesdays, and ending when noodles or other supplies sell out. Fifty non-smoking seats comprise twenty at tables and thirty in the tatami area; alcohol is not sold. Payment is cash only: cards, electronic money and Ota digital vouchers are not accepted. Walk southwest from Jiroembashi Station for about seven minutes, or drive around five minutes from Ota-Godo Smart Interchange. Twenty free parking spaces include an area north of the shop.
