呉ハイカラ食堂は、潜水艦内を思わせる店内で海自カレーや旧海軍ゆかりの料理を食べられる店です。港の博物館を巡る途中に、艦長認定のカレーやチキンライスなどを選べます。食事のほか模型やグッズの売場もあり、呉の海事文化に触れる昼の休憩場所になります。

艦長認定のそうりゅうカレー

潜水艦そうりゅうの補給員から作り方を教わり、艦長の認定を受けた海自カレーを提供しています。そうりゅうテッパンカレーと艦めしテッパンカレーは各1,650円で数量限定・予約不可。潜水艦テッパンカレー1,600円、鉄のくじらカレー1,300円、潜水艦エッグカレー1,100円、潜水艦カレー980円など、盛り付けと付け合わせで選べます。

チキンライスと子どものメニュー

カレーのほか、明治海軍式チキンライス1,400円、戦艦霧島のクジラカツランチ1,300円、戦艦大和のオムライス1,200円、お子様ランチ800円があります。海軍伝統の珈琲・紅茶は各450円、大和ラムネ300円です。団体利用には専用メニューがあり、個人向けの数量限定テッパンメニューとは注文条件が異なります。

潜水艦風の客席と模型

テーブル24席と掘りごたつ32席があり、子ども用椅子も用意します。潜水艦を模した内装のほか、フロアには30分の1戦艦大和の模型や映画で使用した三連機関銃などを展示しています。併設ショップは自衛隊グッズやカトラリーなどを扱います。食事と一緒に展示や買物も組み込めます。

宝町のビル二階で昼食を取る

所在地は宝町4-21、折本マリンビル3号館2階です。営業は11～15時30分、LO15時、火曜定休で、夕食営業とは異なる昼の利用枠です。大和ミュージアムやてつのくじら館、中央桟橋周辺と合わせて徒歩で回れます。車は周辺の時間貸し駐車場を使い、食事後も見学する場合は駐車時間を通して計算できます。

呉市内で組み合わせる訪問先

呉市は中心の港町から川尻・安浦、音戸・倉橋、とびしま海道の島々へ広がります。下の施設は市内の別分野の訪問先です。地域が異なる施設は車やバスでの移動時間を取り、橋の通行料、食事の締切、宿の到着時間に合わせて組み合わせられます。駐車場は訪れる地域と出入庫条件で選べます。

Kure Haikara Shokudo serves naval curry and historically inspired dishes in a submarine-themed interior. During a harbour museum visit, choose captain-certified curry or dishes such as chicken rice. Models and a shop add maritime interest to a lunchtime stop.

Captain-certified Soryu curry

The restaurant learned the Soryu recipe from the submarine’s supply crew and received its captain’s certification. Soryu and Kanmeshi tray curries cost ¥1,650 each, limited in quantity and unreservable. Other choices include submarine tray curry ¥1,600, Iron Whale curry ¥1,300, submarine egg curry ¥1,100 and submarine curry ¥980.

Chicken rice and children’s choices

Beyond curry, Meiji naval-style chicken rice costs ¥1,400, Kirishima whale-cutlet lunch ¥1,300, Yamato omelette rice ¥1,200 and children’s lunch ¥800. Naval-style coffee or tea costs ¥450 and Yamato ramune ¥300. Group bookings use dedicated menus, with different ordering arrangements from limited individual tray dishes.

Submarine-themed seating and models

Twenty-four table seats and thirty-two sunken-floor seats are complemented by children’s chairs. Alongside submarine-inspired decor, the floor displays a one-thirtieth-scale Yamato and a triple gun used in a film. The attached shop sells defence-force merchandise and cutlery, combining a meal with displays and shopping.

Lunch on the second floor in Takara-machi

The address is the second floor of Orimoto Marine Building No.3, 4-21 Takara-machi. Service is lunchtime, 11:00–15:30 with last orders 15:00, closed Tuesdays. Combine it on foot with Yamato Museum, Tetsu no Kujira or the central pier. Drivers can use nearby paid parking and allow for both the meal and subsequent sightseeing.
