大久保茶屋は、足羽山の木々に囲まれた茶屋で、豆腐田楽やこんにゃくおでん、そば、手作りの甘味を味わえる店です。自然史博物館や山上の散策に食事休憩を加え、山の中でゆっくり過ごせます。通常期・花見の4月・冬季で営業時間が変わります。

山の散策と味噌田楽のひと休み
名物はとうふ木の芽田楽と甘辛のこんにゃくおでんです。食事にはおろしそばやソースカツ丼を合わせたセット、若狭牛の丼などがあり、軽食としっかりした昼食を選べます。山の木々を眺める時間と福井らしい料理を合わせ、足羽山の散策を食事の前後へ分けて楽しめます。
定食と甘味の選び方
現在の案内では豆腐田楽670円、こんにゃくおでん460円、そばとソースカツ丼セット1,540円です。甘味にはわらびもち440円、黒蜜きなこだんご770円、コーヒーと黒糖わらび餅セット730円などがあります。いずれも税込の例で、宴会コースや持ち帰り商品とは別。山歩きの途中に短く甘味を取る場合も、昼食をまとめて取る場合も選べます。
夕方の予約と冬の短縮営業
通常10～18時ですが、17時30分以降は予約が必要です。4月は10～22時、冬季は10～16時の案内で、元日を除き基本営業しながら不定休があります。離れのご飯カフェ森の音は11～16時・不定休で別の営業区分です。本記事の茶屋の時間と離れのランチ時間を分け、夜の食事は予約条件に合わせて組み立てられます。
足羽山の坂道と到着の目安
小山谷町34-9、足羽山公園のNHK塔前広場にあります。福井駅から車・タクシー約10分、福井ICから約20分。徒歩は愛宕坂バス停から約15分、足羽山公園下から約20分、足羽山公園口駅から約25分で、坂や階段のある経路です。駐車場がありますが、花見期は山上の道や駐車場が混雑するため、到着にも時間を取れます。

Ookubo Chaya is a teahouse among Mount Asuwa’s trees, serving tofu dengaku, konjac oden, soba and handmade sweets. It provides a meal break alongside the natural-history museum and hilltop walks. Hours change between the ordinary season, April’s blossom period and winter.

A hill-walk break with miso dengaku
Specialities include tofu dengaku with aromatic miso and sweet-spicy konjac oden. Oroshi soba and sauce-cutlet-bowl combinations, as well as Wakasa-beef rice dishes, offer fuller meals. The wooded setting makes it possible to divide a hill walk around lunch and a rest with local food.
Choosing a meal or sweets
Listed tax-inclusive examples are tofu dengaku ¥670, konjac oden ¥460 and the soba/sauce-cutlet-bowl set ¥1,540. Sweet choices include warabi mochi ¥440, brown-sugar-syrup kinako dumplings ¥770 and coffee with brown-sugar warabi mochi ¥730. These differ from banquet courses or takeaway products, allowing either a short sweet break or a full lunch.
Evening reservations and shorter winter hours
Normal opening is 10:00–18:00, but visits after 17:30 require reservation. April hours extend to 22:00; winter hours shorten to 16:00. January 1 and irregular dates are closed. The separate Morinooto cafe opens 11:00–16:00 with its own irregular closures. Treat its lunch schedule separately from the teahouse, and arrange evening dining under the reservation conditions.
Hill routes and arrival times
The address is 34-9 Oyamadani-cho, beside the NHK tower square in Asuwayama Park. Allow about ten minutes by car/taxi from Fukui Station or twenty from Fukui Interchange. Walking approaches take about fifteen minutes from Atagozaka bus stop, twenty from Asuwayama-Koen-shita or twenty-five from Asuwayama-Koenguchi Station, including slopes or steps. Parking is available, with heavier traffic during blossom season.
