呼子の殿ノ浦にある玄海は、海水を循環させる生簀を備える魚料理の店です。活き造りのあとに下足の調理を選ぶ食事や、刺身・揚げ物を合わせた御膳を、北部の海辺を巡る旅に組み込めます。

生簀から調理する呼子のイカ

1969年創業の玄海では、店内の大小の生簀へ隣接する海から海水を引き、循環させています。厨房にもイカ用の生簀を置き、上げてすぐに調理します。季節で使うイカが変わり、呼子でヤリイカと呼ぶ剣先イカ、冬のアオリイカや甲イカなど、それぞれの身の厚さと食感を味わえます。

活き造り膳と下足の調理

いか活き造り膳3,850円、小潮会席4,300円で税込です。活き造りは重量で提供するため、1人にイカ1杯とは限りません。下足は天ぷら、塩焼き、煮付け、刺身から一つを選ぶ案内です。いかづくし膳3,200円は刺身での提供で、活き造りではありません。献立の種類と、後の調理を含む食事の流れを分けて選べます。

月曜定休と火曜の短縮時間

通常は11～17時、予約客の最終入店は16時30分です。火曜は11～15時30分、最終受付15時と短くなります。月曜休みで、月曜が祝日なら翌火曜。2026年11月の公式カレンダーでは5・9・16・24・30日が休業予定です。通常の曜日と異なる日もあるため月別案内を確認してください。最新の営業状況は来店前に確認してください。仕入れや予約状況で早く閉まる場合があり、予定の食事時間を午前と午後の見学先の間に置けます。

予約人数と殿ノ浦への道

ネット予約は6人以下、7人以上は電話で申し込み、席が分かれる場合があります。唐津駅から車約25分、バスは「伊達政宗陣跡」から徒歩約8分。普通車に加え大型バスも利用できる駐車場があります。呼子の中心や加部島、名護屋城跡など北部の訪問先と、予約の到着時刻を合わせて組み込めます。

唐津市内で組み合わせる訪問先

呼子の港、加部島と鎮西の名護屋は、海辺の食事と歴史見学を組み合わせられる地域です。活き造りの入荷や店の受付時刻、宿の夕食開始に合わせて車で移動できます。港の市営駐車場と博物館の共用駐車場は用途が異なるため、訪ねる場所ごとに駐車先を選べます。唐津駅周辺へ戻る時間も含めて一日を組めます。

At Tononoura in Yobuko, Genkai keeps seafood in circulating seawater tanks. Choose squid sashimi followed by a preparation of its tentacles, or mixed seafood sets, as part of a northern-coast trip.

Squid prepared from the tanks

Founded in 1969, Genkai circulates seawater from the neighbouring sea through its tanks, including a kitchen tank used for squid prepared immediately after removal. Species vary seasonally, including swordtip squid locally called yari-ika, winter bigfin reef squid and cuttlefish, each with different texture and thickness.

Squid sets and the tentacle course

The live-squid sashimi set costs ¥3,850 and Koshio kaiseki ¥4,300 including tax. Squid is portioned by weight, so one whole squid per person is not guaranteed. Choose one tentacle preparation: tempura, salt-grilled, simmered or sashimi. The ¥3,200 squid assortment uses ordinary sashimi rather than live preparation.

Monday closure and shorter Tuesdays

Normal hours are 11:00–17:00, with last reserved arrival at 16:30. Tuesdays shorten to 11:00–15:30, reception until 15:00. Monday closure shifts to Tuesday after a Monday holiday. The November 2026 official calendar schedules closures on the 5th, 9th, 16th, 24th and 30th. Monthly arrangements may differ from the usual weekday rule; check the latest operating status before visiting. Supply or reservations can bring an earlier close.

Reservations and reaching Tononoura

Online reservations cover up to six people; parties of seven or more book by telephone and may be split across tables. Drive around twenty-five minutes from Karatsu Station, or walk about eight minutes from Date Masamune Jinato bus stop. Parking accepts cars and large buses. Coordinate reserved arrival with Yobuko, Kabe Island or Nagoya Castle visits.

Other stops to combine within Karatsu

Yobuko harbour, Kabe Island and Nagoya in Chinzei combine coastal meals with historical visits. Allow driving time around squid availability, restaurant reception hours and accommodation dinner starts. Harbour municipal parking and the museum’s shared lot serve different visits; choose parking for each stop and allow time to return towards Karatsu Station.
