八王子市夢美術館｜街なかの企画展と19時までの鑑賞、現在の観覧料

八王子市夢美術館は、街歩きに組み込みやすい八日町の美術館です。企画展ごとに画家や作品の背景を掘り下げ、特別展に併設する収蔵品展示も一緒に鑑賞できます。夜は19時まで開館するため、日中の見学や食事の後に立ち寄る計画にも使えます。展示替え休館と入館締切を合わせて選べます。

市街地の2階で企画展を見る

2003年に開館した美術館で、ビュータワー八王子の2階にあります。主に第1・2展示室で企画展、第3展示室で収蔵品を紹介しますが、内容によって構成は変わります。特別展に併設される収蔵品展示の料金は企画展の観覧料に含まれます。図録やオリジナルグッズを扱うショップもあり、展示を見る時間と街歩きを組み合わせられます。

11月3日までの大野五郎・小野幸吉展

2026年9月12日～11月3日は「没後20年 大野五郎／夭折の画家 小野幸吉」を開催します。晩年を八王子で過ごした大野と、20歳で没した小野の作品、二人が関わった1930年協会を紹介する展覧会です。当期は一般600円、高校生以上の学生と65歳以上300円、中学生以下無料。15名以上は2割引で、対象の障害者手帳所持者と付添1名も無料です。

19時閉館と展示替え、決済方法

開館は10～19時、入館18時30分まで。月曜が祝休日なら開館し翌平日が休みとなり、12月29日～1月3日と展示替期間も休館します。観覧料は企画展ごとに変わり、年間パスポートは本人1名で購入日から1年間1,500円です。窓口では現金、対象のクレジットカード・電子マネーに対応しますが、QRコード決済と現金併用・現金チャージはできません。

八王子駅から歩く、美術館地下の有料駐車

JR八王子駅北口から徒歩15分、京王八王子駅から徒歩18分です。駅からのバスは「八日町一丁目」、高尾・陣馬側からは「八日町四丁目」で下車。急行や市街地循環バスは対象停留所に停まりません。車は地下の八日町夢街道パーキングが最寄りで、有料・割引対応があります。駐車場の利用料金と、2階の展示の観覧料を別に組んで訪問できます。

八王子市内で組み合わせる訪問先

八日町の美術館と駅周辺の宿は、中心市街地の散策と合わせられます。大和田のとうふ料理へはバスや車の移動を取り、昼夜の営業の切れ目と予約の人数条件を合わせて向かえます。地下駐車場は深夜に出庫できない時間があるため、夜の食事を組む日には宿へ歩いて戻るか車を出すかを先に決めると、訪問先をつなげやすくなります。

Changing exhibitions above the city street

Opened in 2003, the museum occupies View Tower Hachioji’s second floor. Galleries 1–2 usually host special exhibitions and gallery 3 collection displays, though layouts vary. Collection displays accompanying a special exhibition are included in its admission. A shop sells catalogues and original goods, allowing gallery time to share an itinerary with the surrounding city streets.

Ohno Goro and Ono Kokichi through November 3

September 12–November 3, 2026 brings an exhibition of Ohno Goro and Ono Kokichi. It considers Ohno’s later life in Hachioji, Ono’s death at twenty and their connection with the 1930 Association. Current entry is ¥600 adults or ¥300 for students from high school and visitors 65+, with junior-high pupils and younger children free. Groups 15+ receive 20%off; eligible disability-certificate holders and one companion enter free.

Evening entry, changeovers and payment

Open 10:00–19:00, last entry 18:30. A Monday holiday opens, with closure on the following weekday; December 29–January 3 and exhibition-change periods also close. Prices vary by exhibition. A named one-person annual pass costs ¥1,500 for a year from purchase. The counter accepts cash and supported cards/e-money, but not QR payments, cash/e-money split payment or cash top-ups.

Walking from the stations and paid parking

Walk fifteen minutes from JR Hachioji’s north exit or eighteen from Keio Hachioji. From the stations alight at Yokamachi 1-chome, or Yokamachi 4-chome when approaching from Takao/Jinba. Express and city-circular buses do not serve these stops. Underground Yokamachi Yumekaido Parking is nearest, charging separately with a museum discount arrangement. Plan parking costs separately from gallery admission.

Other stops to combine within Hachioji

The Yokamachi museum and station-area accommodation combine with central-city walks. Tofu dining in Owada needs a bus or car journey, planned around its lunch/dinner break and party-size conditions. Underground lots close vehicle access overnight; decide whether to walk back to accommodation or drive after an evening meal when linking the stops.
