Sakura-no-Yama occupies a small hill in Komaino beside Narita Airport. A viewing deck overlooks aircraft movements, while cherry trees and greenery provide a setting for a walk. The adjacent Sakura-kan shop sells local produce and aviation goods. Its opening hours are shorter than the park’s, so plan shopping and aircraft viewing separately.

A viewing hill north of runway A
The hill stands north of the 4,000-metre A runway. Its deck and benches provide views of aircraft arriving at and departing from the airport. Lawns and trees make it possible to combine plane watching with a walk. This is an outdoor park setting, separate from the viewing facilities inside the airport terminals.
Cherry trees and seasonal greenery
The 4.9-hectare grounds include Somei-yoshino, wild, weeping and early-flowering cherry trees. Spring brings views of blossoms and aircraft together, but roads and parking become particularly busy from late March to mid-May. Public transport offers another way to reach the park during this period. Trees, lawns and benches also provide places to pause during a walk.
Sakura-kan and visitor rules
Sakura-kan opens 09:00–17:00, selling fresh local vegetables, seasonal fruit and airline-related goods. Park access runs 06:00–23:00. Camping, fires, drones and radio-controlled aircraft are prohibited. Keep stepladders away from the white mesh fence on the hill and take rubbish home. Commercial photography and filming require permission.
Reaching the park from the airport or city
Buses connect Terminal 2 with the park; the city lists a journey of about fifteen minutes from stop 2 on the first floor. The Tsubuura community-bus route also serves Sakura-no-Yama from the Keisei Narita side of the city. Driving takes about ten minutes from the airport or Narita Interchange. Free parking includes car, accessible and coach spaces.
Other stops to combine within Narita
Central Narita and the temple, the airport area, Shimofusa and Taiei involve different directions of travel. These suggestions include other parts of the same city. Coordinate meal-order deadlines and accommodation arrival with the necessary driving or rail journeys. Related parking serves its own area and has conditions separate from a facility’s dedicated parking or guest parking at accommodation.
