宝生閣は、城山公園の高台に建つ全館畳敷きの旅館です。町を歩いた後に、露天石風呂や最上階の足湯で過ごせます。客室の露天風呂と温泉の浴場、女性専用の織姫では利用条件が異なり、部屋選びと湯の楽しみ方を合わせて計画できます。

畳の館内と高台の客室
玄関の大きな梁から畳の廊下が続き、和室と和洋室、露天風呂付きの客室などがあります。古い町並みへは徒歩約3分で、散策後に高台の宿へ戻る過ごし方ができます。食事には飛騨牛や朴葉味噌を使う会席などのプランがあり、宿泊料金は部屋、利用日、食事内容で変わります。移動しやすさと宿で休む時間の両方から部屋を選べます。
温泉は露天石風呂、客室露天は別の湯
共同浴場は15～24時と朝5～10時に利用でき、日帰り入浴は行っていません。飛騨高山温泉を加温・循環で使うのは露天石風呂です。客室露天風呂は温泉ではありません。最上階の足湯は17～23時に無料で使え、雨天時に休止する場合があります。浴場の場所ごとに湯の種類と開く時間を選び、朝の出発前にも利用できます。
織姫の年齢・予約条件と税
女性専用の織姫は宿泊者向けで、12歳以下は利用できません。17～24時に開き、一般客室は当日予約制で1回90分1,500円、露天風呂付き客室は予約不要で何度でも無料です。混雑する時間帯は予約できない場合があります。高山市の宿泊税は1人1泊の食事代・消費税等を除く宿泊料により、1万円未満100円、1万～3万円未満200円、3万円以上300円です。小学校6年生までは免除対象です。
急坂を考えた送迎と駐車
高山駅から徒歩約15～16分、車で約5分で、道には急坂があります。14時以降の列車に合わせた無料迎えは当日正午までの予約制です。翌朝は8～10時に30分ごとに駅へ送り、フロントで申し込めます。無料駐車は約40台で、到着日13時～出発日13時まで利用できます。大型車やキャンピングカー等は契約駐車場を使うため予約時の相談が必要です。

Hoshokaku is a tatami-lined ryokan on the Shiroyama Park hillside. After a walk through town, unwind in the stone outdoor baths or top-floor footbath. Room outdoor tubs, hot-spring bathing areas and the women-only Orihime space have different arrangements, connecting room choice with the preferred bathing experience.

Tatami interiors and hillside guest rooms
A substantial entrance beam leads to tatami corridors, Japanese and Japanese-Western rooms, and rooms with outdoor tubs. The historic streets are about three minutes away on foot, allowing a return to the hillside after exploring. Meal plans include kaiseki with Hida beef or hoba miso, with prices varying by room, date and menu. Choose the room according to comfort at the inn and ease of getting around.
Hot-spring stone baths and room outdoor tubs
Communal bathing hours are 15:00–24:00 and 05:00–10:00; day bathing is unavailable. The stone outdoor baths use heated, circulated Hida Takayama hot-spring water. Outdoor tubs in guest rooms are not hot springs. The top-floor footbath is free from 17:00–23:00 and may close in rain. Choose bathing locations by their water and hours, including time before morning departure.
Orihime age restrictions, bookings and tax
Women-only Orihime is for overnight guests and cannot be used by children aged twelve or younger. It opens 17:00–24:00. Standard-room guests book on the day at ¥1,500 per ninety-minute session; open-air-bath-room guests use it freely without booking. Busy sessions may be unavailable. Takayama accommodation tax per person per night is ¥100 below ¥10,000, ¥200 from ¥10,000 to below ¥30,000, and ¥300 from ¥30,000, based on accommodation charges excluding meals and consumption tax. Children through elementary grade six are exempt.
Plan for the hill with transfers and parking
The station is about fifteen to sixteen minutes on foot or five by car, with a steep slope on the approach. Complimentary pickup for train arrivals from 14:00 requires booking by noon that day. Morning station transfers leave every thirty minutes from 08:00–10:00; request one at reception. Around forty free spaces are available 13:00 on arrival day to 13:00 on departure day. Larger vehicles and campervans require advance arrangements for contracted parking.
