椿自然園は、橘湾の島々を見下ろす高台の小さな宿です。全室から海を眺め、椿泊の魚介や地元の野菜を使う夕食を客室で味わえます。春の椿園だけでなく、海景色と食事をゆっくり楽しむ泊まり方に向いています。

海を眺める客室で夕食を味わう
和室10畳、和室14畳と応接室、和室と洋室を合わせた客室を用意しています。湾の景色は「阿波松島」と呼ばれ、窓辺で島々や夜景を眺められます。夕食は客室に運ばれる会席料理で、椿泊湾の海の幸、椿町の野菜や山の幸、自家製コシヒカリを組み合わせます。魚種や料理は季節と水揚げに応じて替わります。
部屋と食事の組み合わせを選ぶ
宿泊料金は客室、人数、食事、日程で異なります。「お部屋でのんびりプラン」の和室10畳・2名利用は、直近の販売例で1泊2食1人13500～14500円。ユニットバス付き客室などは別料金です。現地でクレジットカードは使えず、現金または対象プランの事前カード決済となります。チェックイン16時、チェックアウト10時です。
展望風呂と椿園で過ごす
宿泊者用の展望風呂は無料で、事情により稼働せず露天風呂のみになる場合があります。貸切風呂は2000円の設定です。約1haの椿園には約700種3000本があり、3月の徳島つばきまつりは入場無料。第一椿園は改植中ですが、苗木の展示や栽培案内もあります。みかん狩り体験は現在実施していません。
案内板に沿って高台の宿へ
JR阿波橘駅からタクシー約25分。車は福井町大西から県道26号へ入り、椿泊方面へ向かいます。県道から大きな看板のあるログハウスを左折し、山道の入口でも左折して約1.5kmです。ナビは椿町中学校を目印にし、その先は宿の案内板に沿います。宿名だけを目的地にすると狭い裏道へ導かれる場合があります。阿南市内は5名以上の送迎に対応します。

富岡の市街地、那賀川・羽ノ浦、桑野、橘・椿の海辺では、移動する方面が異なります。宿で過ごす時間と昼夜の食事、目的施設の駐車場を合わせ、次の訪問先を行程に組み込めます。
Tsubaki Shizenen is a small hillside inn above the islands of Tachibana Bay. Every room faces the sea, and dinner brings local seafood and vegetables to the room. The camellia gardens are a spring attraction, while the bay views and unhurried meals shape a stay throughout the seasons.

Dinner in a room overlooking the bay
Choose a ten-tatami room, a larger Japanese room with a sitting area, or combined Japanese-Western accommodation. The island-filled view is known as Awa Matsushima. Kaiseki dinners are served in the room, combining seafood from Tsubakidomari Bay, local produce and the inn’s own Koshihikari rice. Fish and dishes vary with the season and catch.
Match the room and meal plan
Rates depend on room, party size, meals and date. A recent listed example for the relaxing in-room dining plan is ¥13,500–14,500 per person for two sharing a ten-tatami room with dinner and breakfast. Rooms with a unit bathroom have separate rates. On-site cards are not accepted: use cash or advance card payment where the selected plan permits. Standard arrival is 16:00 and departure 10:00.
Baths and camellia gardens
Guests may use the panoramic bath without an extra charge, although operating circumstances can leave only the outdoor bath available. A private bath is listed at ¥2,000. Around one hectare of gardens holds roughly 3,000 camellias in 700 varieties; the March camellia festival has free admission. The first garden is being replanted, and plants and growing advice are also available. Mandarin-picking activities are suspended.
Follow the signs up to the inn
A taxi from Awa-Tachibana Station takes around twenty-five minutes. Drivers turn onto Route 26 at Fukui-cho Onishi towards Tsubakidomari. Turn left at the signed log house, then left again onto the mountain approach for about 1.5 km. Set navigation via Tsubaki Junior High School and then follow the inn’s signs, since routing directly to the inn can select narrow back roads. Transfers within Anan are offered for groups of at least five.
Other stops in Anan
Central Tomioka, Nakagawa and Hanoura, Kuwano, and the Tachibana/Tsubaki coast involve different directions of travel. Combine time at the accommodation, daytime or evening meals, and parking for the intended facility with the next stop in the itinerary.
