鶴屋喜八の屋号と文化財建築
2026年10月のお知らせでは、過去帳に残る創業期を寛永年間とし、省略のない屋号「鶴屋喜八」に戻したとしています。現在の建物は1887年築の入母屋造で、国の登録有形文化財です。中庭「折鶴の庭」では築山や石組、白砂で比叡山と琵琶湖を表し、食事の席から眺められます。
温かいそば、冷たいそば、定食
ざるそば1,280円、かけそば1,180円、天ざるそば2,280円で、いずれも税込です。温そば定食と冷そば定食は各1,580円で、かやく飯と香の物が付きます。近江鴨を使う鴨なんばんや鴨せいろもあり、麺だけの食事とご飯を合わせる食事で選べます。2026年の新そばは10月12日から始まっています。
予約席の階段と繁忙期の制限
予約席は畳で、利用は予約時刻から一時間半です。二階の団体席へは急な階段を上がり、エレベーターや二階のトイレはありません。団体は三日前までの予約で、料理も三日前までに指定します。2026年11月14日～12月6日と12月26日～翌1月5日は予約を受け付けず、この期間は甘味の提供も休止します。
駅からの近さと駐車条件
京阪坂本比叡山口駅から徒歩1分、JR比叡山坂本駅から徒歩約10分です。無料駐車場は普通乗用車のみで、マイクロバスや観光バスは入れません。2026年の今後の休業日は12月21日です。11～16時の営業に対し、注文は15時30分までです。全席禁煙で、玄関前や中庭も禁煙です。

The restored name and heritage building
An October 2026 announcement dates the business’s beginnings to the Kan’ei era and explains the restoration of its full original name. The current irimoya-roofed building dates from 1887 and is a nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property. Its Orizuru garden represents Mount Hiei and Lake Biwa through landscaped hills, stones and white sand.
Hot soba, cold soba and set meals
Tax-inclusive prices include zaru soba ¥1,280, kake soba ¥1,180 and tempura zaru soba ¥2,280. Hot and cold soba sets cost ¥1,580 each with seasoned rice and pickles. Omi duck appears in kamo-nanban and kamo-seiro. Choose noodles alone or a fuller set with rice. The 2026 new-season soba began on October 12.
Reserved seating, stairs and busy-period restrictions
Reserved seating is on tatami for ninety minutes from the booked time. Second-floor group rooms require steep stairs, with no elevator or upstairs toilet. Groups reserve and select their meals at least three days ahead. Reservations are unavailable November 14–December 6 and December 26, 2026–January 5, 2027; sweets are also suspended during these periods.
Station access and parking conditions
Walk one minute from Keihan Sakamoto-hieizanguchi or around ten from JR Hieizan-Sakamoto. Free parking accepts standard passenger cars, excluding minibuses and sightseeing coaches. The remaining listed 2026 closure is December 21. Opening is 11:00–16:00, with orders ending at 15:30. Smoking is prohibited in seating areas, at the entrance and in the courtyard.
