These parking areas serve visits to the shrine and its approach. Normal pricing is daily, with vehicle entry and exit around the clock. Seasonal worship-gate times and arrangements for major ceremonies are separate from the parking access window and need to be considered alongside it.

Parking within the shrine grounds
Kashihara Jingu at 934 Kume-cho has parking in several parts of its grounds. Normal capacity is approximately eight hundred vehicles, rising to around fifteen hundred with temporary New Year areas. Parking provides a base for the approach, torii, outer worship hall and Fukada Pond. It is separate from the municipal Kashiharajingu-mae East lot, with a different address, price and access schedule. For a shrine visit, select the shrine parking destination and follow any area-specific guidance issued for the day’s ceremonies or events.
The normal ¥500 car rate
Normal daily charges are ¥500 for ordinary cars, ¥1,000 for medium vehicles and ¥2,000 for large vehicles. These are shrine-defined daily vehicle categories rather than the municipal station lots’ half-hour and hourly steps. Rates change during New Year and other festival periods. The enlarged New Year capacity includes temporary areas and should not be treated as the ordinary permanent-space count or as confirmation of a future New Year tariff. Routine visits and major ceremonial dates therefore follow different daily guidance, and group vehicles have a different rate category from ordinary cars.
Round-the-clock parking and worship gates
Vehicle entry and exit are available twenty-four hours, but worship gates follow seasonal hours: October–November 6:30–17:30; December–January 6:30–17:00; February–March 6:30–17:30; April–May and August–September 6:00–18:00; June–July 5:30–18:00. Ceremonies may change these, and December 31–January 7 has a separate schedule. Prayer reception is 9:00–16:00. Being able to retrieve a car overnight does not establish overnight access to the worship areas, so arrival should match the intended worship or reception service.
Road restrictions on October 31, 2026
On October 31, 2026, the Nara prefectural high-school ekiden brings traffic controls on nearby Prefectural Road 125 for approximately three hours from 10:15. Follow police directions through one-way sections. The notice concerns approach and departure roads rather than announcing closure of all parking. After parking, paved routes and ramps connect the first torii on the main approach with the outer worship hall, allowing wheelchair and stroller access. Free loan wheelchairs are also available within the grounds. Plan the walking portion alongside both the road restrictions and worship schedule.
