Fujita Memorial Garden, beside Hirosaki Park, is associated with businessman Kenichi Fujita. The upper terrace looks towards Mount Iwaki, while the lower garden centres on a pond, with Japanese and Western-style buildings adding variety. Combine a garden walk with café time around their different hours and the area accessible in winter.

高台と池の庭で変わる景観
弘前出身の実業家・藤田謙一が大正年間に別邸として造らせた庭を、市が整備して公開しています。高台から岩木山を望む景観と、低地に広がる池の庭を組み合わせて楽しめます。庭の区画を移ることで、開けた眺めから水辺や植栽に近い視点へ変わるのが特徴。市街地の歴史建築巡りにも加えやすい場所です。
洋館と匠館で休憩する時間
園内の洋館には大正浪漫喫茶室、匠館にはクラフト展示販売と和カフェがあり、庭園散策の合間に立ち寄れます。喫茶と匠館のカフェは9時30分～16時30分、LO16時で、庭園の17時閉園より先に注文が終わります。洋館だけの利用は無料ですが、通常期に庭園へ入る場合は別に入園券が必要です。
通常券と十一月の夜間開園予定
通常の入園料は高校生以上320円、小中学生100円。10人以上の団体は250円・80円で、支払いは現金です。通常期は2026年11月23日まで9～17時・最終入園16時30分。事前案内では11月6・7日は9～20時・最終入園19時30分の夜間開園予定です。実施や臨時変更は、来園前に管理者の最新案内を確認してください。
冬は高台だけの無料公開へ
2026年11月24日～2027年4月9日は冬期公開となり、高台部庭園・洋館・匠館だけを9～17時、最終16時30分に無料で開きます。低地の池の庭を一周する通常期と同じ範囲ではありません。所在地は上白銀町8-1で、市役所前バス停から徒歩約3分。大正浪漫喫茶室の利用には低地部にある無料駐車場が案内されています。

Changing scenery between the upper and lower garden
Developed from the Taisho-era retreat of Hirosaki-born businessman Kenichi Fujita, the garden is now open through the city’s management arrangements. Combine Mount Iwaki views from the upper terrace with the pond landscape below. Moving between areas changes the perspective from an open outlook to water and planting at close range, making it a useful addition to a town-centre heritage walk.
A break in the Western-style house or Takumikan
The Western-style house contains Taisho Roman Café, while Takumikan combines craft displays and sales with a Japanese-style café. Both café periods are 09:30–16:30, last orders 16:00, earlier than the garden’s 17:00 close. Using only the Western-style house is free; entry into the garden during the regular season requires a separate garden ticket.
Regular tickets and planned November evenings
Regular admission is ¥320 for high-school age and over or ¥100 for primary/junior-high pupils, reduced to ¥250/¥80 for groups of ten or more. Payment is cash. The regular season continues through November 23, 2026, 09:00–17:00 with last entry 16:30. Advance information lists November 6–7 for planned 09:00–20:00 evening opening, last entry 19:30. Check the operator’s latest notice for operation and temporary changes before visiting.
Winter changes to free upper-terrace access
Winter access runs November 24, 2026–April 9, 2027, free from 09:00–17:00, last entry 16:30, and is limited to the upper garden, Western-style house and Takumikan. It does not include the full lower pond-garden circuit available in the regular season. The address is 8-1 Kamishirogane-cho, around three minutes from Shiyakusho-mae bus stop. Café visitors are directed to free parking by the lower area.
