Rooms in Honcho and a top-floor hot spring
Room choices include singles, doubles, twins, Japanese rooms, queens and a universal-access room. Check-in is 15:00 and checkout 11:00. The tenth floor has separate men’s and women’s natural hot-spring baths, supplied with water transported from Okkonoki Onsen in Kuroishi. Baths open 15:00–10:00 the following morning, but the sauna closes 01:00–05:00. Guests with tattoos cannot use the bathing facilities.
Breakfast for overnight guests with Tsugaru dishes
Breakfast is served at HATAGO on the second floor, 06:30–09:30, with last entry at 09:00. It is restricted to overnight guests, rather than a walk-in restaurant. Tax-inclusive prices are ¥2,000 for adults, ¥1,000 from age three through elementary school and free for ages zero to two. The buffet includes regional dishes such as senbei soup, igamenchi fritters and scallop rice, with daily variation. Distinguish the entry cutoff from the finishing time when planning departure.
Evening noodles and timed complimentary services
Complimentary yonaki-soba noodles are available on the second floor, 21:30–23:00, for an evening snack. Other free services include welcome drinks 15:00–21:00, ice treats 15:00–01:00 and probiotic drinks 05:00–10:00. Their hours differ from those of the baths. Standard accommodation tax is ¥200 per person per night. Overnight hot-spring bathing incurs a ¥150 daily tax from age twelve; children under twelve are exempt from that bathing tax.
Parking heights and rail access
At 71-1 Honcho, the hotel is about six minutes on foot from Chuo-Hirosaki Station or thirty from JR Hirosaki. Parking comprises thirty-two mechanical and thirty-two surface spaces, first come, at ¥700 for 15:00–11:00. Mechanical bays have standard 1.55-metre and high-roof two-metre categories; modified vehicles are not accepted. Nearby parking is suggested when full. Eight roofed motorcycle spaces are free and first come, with advance contact required. Owani-Hirosaki Interchange is around twenty minutes by car.
More places for a Hirosaki itinerary
Combine the station area and castle-town walks with trips to Mount Iwaki’s foothills and Takaoka-no-Mori, arranging the order around meals and bathing sessions.
