八甲田山雪中行軍遭難資料館｜史料と映像で学ぶ1902年の遭難、冬の入館は16時まで

八甲田山雪中行軍遭難資料館は、1902年1月に起きた陸軍歩兵第五聯隊の遭難を伝える施設です。当時の背景、行軍計画、遭難後の捜索を史料や映像でたどり、隣接する幸畑墓苑と合わせて事件を静かに考える時間を持てます。

The Hakkoda Winter March Disaster Museum examines the tragedy that struck the army’s Fifth Infantry Regiment in January 1902. Documents and film cover the historical background, planned march and subsequent search. The neighbouring Kobata Cemetery offers a separate place for quiet reflection.

行軍の計画から捜索までをたどる

展示室では、遭難が起きた時代の背景と行軍計画を押さえたうえで、事件の経過や捜索活動を見ていけます。模型や解説パネルと映像を合わせることで、資料の位置づけを理解しやすくなります。

公式の見学目安は約30分で、概要映像が約10分、展示品や解説の閲覧が約20分です。細かな解説を読む方や、墓苑にも立ち寄る方は、その分の時間を追加して計画してください。

幸畑墓苑は慰霊の場として静かに

幸畑墓苑には、遭難で亡くなった199人の墓標と当時の生存者11人の墓碑、関連する石碑・慰霊碑があります。墓地を囲む多行松とともに、市の史跡天然記念物に指定されています。

展示を見てから墓苑を歩くと、史料と追悼の場所を結び付けて理解できます。積雪や凍結がある日は安全に歩ける範囲を確かめ、慰霊の場として落ち着いて見学しましょう。

冬の最終入館は16時

2026年11月1日～2027年3月31日の公式案内は、開館9時、閉館16時30分、入館は16時までです。閉館時刻に着くと入れないため、映像を見る時間も考えて早めに到着してください。

通常の年末年始休館は12月31日と1月1日です。追加の休館については出発前に公式トップページや電話で確認してください。

料金と窓口での申出

高校・大学生は学生証を提示してください。中学生以下と70歳以上は無料で、窓口で申し出る案内です。20人以上の団体は一般140円、高校・大学生70円となります。

障がい者手帳を持つ方は、窓口で提示すると観覧料が半額になる案内があります。撮影は公式FAQで可能とされていますが、当日の掲示や職員の案内を確認し、ほかの来館者の見学を妨げないようにしましょう。

車・バスの到着場所を確認

車では青森駅から約25分、青森中央ICから約15分が目安です。P1は資料館に隣接し、P2は道路を挟んだ向かい側にあります。道路を渡る際は、冬の視界や路面にも注意してください。

市営バスは「幸畑墓苑」または「幸畑」停留所が利用候補で、公式案内ではそれぞれ徒歩約1分・約10分です。行先によって降車場所が変わるため、乗車前に経路と帰りの便を確認してください。敷地内は全面禁煙です。

Follow the planned march and subsequent search

The exhibition places the event in its historical context before explaining the march, disaster and search. Models, interpretation panels and film help visitors connect individual exhibits with the wider sequence of events.

The museum suggests around 30 minutes: roughly ten minutes for the introductory film and twenty for the displays. Allow longer if you want to read in detail or visit the cemetery as well.

Visit Kobata Cemetery with respect

Kobata Cemetery contains markers for the 199 people who died in the disaster and monuments to the eleven survivors, together with related memorials. The cemetery and its spreading pine trees are protected as a city historic site and natural monument.

Seeing the exhibition first can help connect the historical material with the memorial grounds. In snow or icy conditions, check where it is safe to walk and keep the visit respectful and quiet.

Winter last admission is 16:00

The official schedule for November 1, 2026–March 31, 2027 is 09:00–16:30, with entry only until 16:00. Arriving at closing time is too late; leave time for the introductory film and exhibition.

The regular year-end closure is December 31 and January 1. Check the current homepage or call before travelling for any additional closure.

Admission categories and reception

High-school and university students should show student identification. Children through junior-high school and visitors aged 70 or older enter free and should notify reception. For groups of 20 or more, admission is ¥140 for adults and ¥70 for high-school and university students.

The museum states that visitors presenting a disability certificate receive half-price admission. Its FAQ permits photography, but follow any notices or staff instructions on the day and avoid disturbing other visitors.

Plan your arrival by car or bus

Driving takes roughly 25 minutes from Aomori Station or 15 minutes from Aomori-Chuo Interchange. P1 is beside the museum; P2 is across the road. Take particular care crossing when visibility or road surfaces are affected by winter weather.

City-bus options include Kobata Boen and Kobata stops, described by the museum as about one and ten minutes away on foot respectively. Confirm the route and return service before boarding, since the appropriate stop depends on the bus. Smoking is prohibited throughout the grounds.
