Hinagu Banpeiyu combines a simple public bath, a larger bathing area and private family baths. The present facility opened in 2009 and takes its nickname from Yatsushiro’s large banpeiyu citrus. Operations have resumed in stages after the earthquake, with current hours shorter than the ordinary 22:00 closing time.

Choose the public bath or the larger bathing area
The first-floor Honyu is a simple public bath with tiled bathing pools. The second-floor Banpeiyu area adds a larger pool, washing stations, an open-air bath and sauna, with men’s and women’s areas alternating. Sauna and cold-bath use resumed October 16, 2026. Reception is currently on the first floor. Choose Honyu for a straightforward soak or the larger area for its outdoor bath and sauna. Both currently operate the temporary 10:00–20:00 schedule.
Bathing charges by age
Honyu costs ¥200 from junior-high age and ¥50 for children aged three through elementary school; under-threes enter free. The larger bath costs ¥520 from junior-high age, ¥310 for ages three through elementary school and free under three. Visitors aged seventy or above and disabled visitors pay ¥310 there. Twelve-ticket books cost ¥2,090 for Honyu adults or ¥520 for children; main-bath books are ¥5,230 and ¥3,140 respectively. Choose a single ticket or a ticket book according to the number of baths planned during the stay.
Private baths add a room fee to admission
Third-floor family baths pair a tatami resting room with a private bathroom. The ordinary room fee is ¥1,040 per hour, or ¥1,300 for Yatsushiroso with a sauna, plus each user’s main-bath admission. Two adults using an ordinary room for one hour therefore pay ¥2,080. Available rooms currently operate 10:00–18:00, with final reception at 18:00 or earlier when necessary. Telephone reservations are not accepted; allocation is first come. Fit use to availability and the queue after arriving.
Monthly closure and time in the spa town
The address is 316 Hinagu Nakamachi. Closed the third Tuesday each month and New Year’s Day, moving to the following day when a holiday; October’s closure is the twentieth. The first-floor produce shop reopened September 11, operating 10:00–20:00 with local vegetables and processed foods. The separate Higashiyu bath remains closed. Start with walking information at Hinagu Yume Soko, then combine a town stroll with bathing. Private-bath reception ends earlier than the main baths, which matters when fitting a soak around departure.
